Panic! At The Disco: The Emperor's New Clothes.
Hello all, I’ve started on a cleanup of Panic! At The Disco “The Emperor’s New Clothes.” The lyrics are pretty dense on this one, open to multiple interpretations. The most prevalent view seems to be that this song is about rebirth of the band as essentially a solo act, and he is the Emperor with no clothes. However the video seems to paint some sort of apocalyptic Hellscape that has nothing to do with the above interpretation. Has anyone here listened to the song and watch the video and been able to find any way to tie the two together? BTW here is my favorite annotation on the song right now. It runs a little neutral, not directly speaking to the theme of the song, but I love the analysis. https://genius.com/8019051 @angelated @genius-editorial-board
