iFly Lyrics

[Verse 1]
It was a very normal night, I was attending a party
And I had many different drinks made of sweet fermented fruits
I convinced myself of certain little things
I convinced myself on a b-b-bed of strings

[Pre-Chorus]
That home is just the rent where the goodie kids repent
And the Blu-Tack posters infiltrate my eye

[Chorus]
I fucking love you, I think you're pretty
I fucking love you, all of the time
I fucking love you, I think you're pretty
And I wanna make you mine

[Verse 2]
Well, I remember the first time that I got to kiss you sober
I remember the first time as if it is right now
I was just myself, maybe I was less (Who knows?)
Now I have been both and I'm convinced

[Pre-Chorus]
That home is on a bus seat, home can go without me
Home can reinvent itself today

What did Ball Park Music say about "iFly"?
Genius Answer

“I remember at the time that Mumford & Sons song (“Little Lion Man”) was getting absolutely slammed everywhere. A big swear in the chorus seemed like a real winner and I was like, I’m going to do exactly that. Put a big ‘fuck’ in the song. Which I had never done previously.

It’s a weird feeling when you get to that point where you are frustrated and you go, ‘Ah fuck it, who cares, I’m going to write a bit of a joke song’, and it ends up showcasing a side of yourself that maybe you didn’t know you needed to unlock.“ – Sam Cromack in a retrospective interview with Jaxsta
