Los Borrachos (I Don’t Have Any Hope Left, but the Weather Is Nice) Lyrics

[Pre-Chorus]
And if I'd been a parrot I'd have been a very good parrot
And if I'd been a parent I'd have been my own parents
And if that's not apparent then it will be soon

[Chorus]
I miss those good old boys
They could still find joy in life to talk about
I miss those good old boys
They could still find joy in life to talk about
I miss those good old boys
They could still find joy in life to talk about
I miss those good old boys
They could still find joy in life to talk about

[Breakdown]
I miss you, miss you, miss you
I miss you, miss you, miss you
I miss you, miss you, miss you
(I don't have any hope left, but the weather is nice)
I miss you, miss you, miss you
(I don't have any hope left, but the weather is nice)
I miss you, miss you, miss you
(I don't have any hope left, but the weather is nice)
(I miss those good old boys
They could still find joy in life to talk about)
I miss you, miss you, miss you
(I don't have any hope left, but the weather is nice)
(I miss those good old boys
They could still find joy in life to talk about)

  • Lyrics should be broken down into individual lines
  • Use section headers above different song parts like [Verse], [Chorus], etc.
  • Use italics (<i>lyric</i>) and bold (<b>lyric</b>) to distinguish between different vocalists in the same song part
  • If you don’t understand a lyric, use [?]

About

Genius Annotation

“Los Borrachos (I Don’t Have Any Hope Left, but the Weather Is Nice)” is the 5th track on 2012’s Monomania and the 9th track on 2015’s Teens of Style. The title is spanish for “The Drunks”, and is a reference to the painting “The Triumph of Bacchus (Los Borrachos)” by Diego Velázquez.

“Los Borrachos” has close ties with a few other Car Seat Headrest songs, mainly “Souls” (which opens with a reversed sample of the song’s outro) and “Endpiece” (an alternative version of the breakdown)
