“Rain” marks the first collaboration track between KayCyy and 070 Shake. Originally it was supposed to land on KayCyy’s upcoming debut studio album, WHO IS KAYCYY?, however the track officially saw a released on KayCyy’s mixtape, Get Used To It. It was released on June 3, 2022.
Recorded back in 2021, the song’s existence was teased back in August of that year, when KayCyy posted a picture of the file for this song. The next day on August 20, 2021, KayCyy went to Instagram live to preview the first minute of the song.
A year after the song was teased, on May 19, 2022, KayCyy took to Twitter to reveal an early tracklist for his mixtape, Get Used To It. The tracklist included this song, which confirmed it’s official release.
The song was then leaked on May 25, 2022, but it still saw an official release on June 3.
