Has there been any controversy over the sampling in this song?
Genius Answer

The breakdown of the verse samples “The Alien” by Ben Salisbury and Geoff Burrow off of the official soundtrack to Annihilation.

Geoff Barrow is an incredibly accomplished producer and composer, perhaps best known for his work as the instrumentalist for the legendary group Portishead. On Feb 1st, 2019, Barrow fired off a series of tweets (below) criticizing Lil Pump for sampling his music without permission for a “deeply ******* sexist song”.

We don’t expect any royalties and copyright infringement is not our issue. We want people to know that in no way have we granted the use of our music to be used on a track that is So terribly degrading to young woman. As fathers & firm supporters of the Me too movement We are amazed how tracks like this are not called out by the media for this reason. I know people will try and Call us out as old fuckers and the music ain’t for us and they would be right but misogamy is still Bullshit what ever age you are. – Geoff Barrow (Official statement via Pitchfork)

Does this song sample "Don't Play" by Travis Scott?

The instrumental for “Racks on Racks” has a similar chord progression to Travis Scott’s 2014 single “Don’t Play,” but it is not a direct sample.
