“Angel With Tattoos” is the title song of Skylar Grey’s third studio album, “Angel With Tattoos”. The song is about a forbidden love relationship Skylar had.
Skylar first played this song on a private show in Austin in 2018. There was a leaked footage of her playing it, shared by twitter user @GreySkylarGrey.
Then, during her January 2019 mini-tour, she played the song again along with others from the album.
Later, after the announcement of her AUDIENCE Music episode (self titled; “Skylar Grey”) which was recorded on July of 2018, was coming out in the following month, they released a few promos including one of her revealing her new album’s name, titled “Angel With Tattoos”.
On August 28, 2019, during her appearance at New Sounds, she explained that the song is about her current fiancee’s mother, who doesn’t like her.
