Blood Sport is a song about Vessel’s unhealthy love and devotion towards Sleep.

“A blood sport is the name given to practices such as hunting, fishing, hare coursing, badger baiting and animal fights (cockfighting, dog fighting, etc.), which either cause bloodshed or result in the death of an animal(s) for ‘sport’.”

This is one of the first songs that explores Vessel’s violent animalistic side, which is confirmed to be a thing in the 2023 US Tour, where a converstaion between Sleep and Vessel says that Sleep is a boundary that protects Vessel from the audience but more importantly protects the audience from Vessel.
