Sagganuts Lyrics
[Verse 1]
In at the top of the tower
Was the bottom of the hour
I want it back and I'm just over here
Knowing someone else
I reacted to the owner
The only thing to see with my eyes
She said
[Chorus]
Run, run, run
As fast as you can run or you can walk
They give you all so much because you're out of luck (Run, run, run)
Well, don't you even know I am yours?
[Bridge 1]
I'm going on my way
Yeah
I'm tired of all the ends
All the ends
And she protects us all in the end
And I said
And after when I go off to work
Oh, yeah!
[Verse 2]
I'm bringing down on Tuesday
Wednesday, I pay for it
I gave it up
"To what?" I said
Leave me in peace
He said
In at the top of the tower
Was the bottom of the hour
I want it back and I'm just over here
Knowing someone else
I reacted to the owner
The only thing to see with my eyes
She said
[Chorus]
Run, run, run
As fast as you can run or you can walk
They give you all so much because you're out of luck (Run, run, run)
Well, don't you even know I am yours?
[Bridge 1]
I'm going on my way
Yeah
I'm tired of all the ends
All the ends
And she protects us all in the end
And I said
And after when I go off to work
Oh, yeah!
[Verse 2]
I'm bringing down on Tuesday
Wednesday, I pay for it
I gave it up
"To what?" I said
Leave me in peace
He said
[Chorus]
Run, run run
As fast as you can run or you can walk
She give you oh so much because you're out of luck
(Run, run, run)
But I said that I was yours
[Bridge 2]
I'm tired of all the ends
All the ends
And bringing back to my thumb
When I said I was right
But she protects her son standing right there
On the edge
And after, but I go out to work
[Guitar Solo]
Run, run run
As fast as you can run or you can walk
She give you oh so much because you're out of luck
(Run, run, run)
But I said that I was yours
[Bridge 2]
I'm tired of all the ends
All the ends
And bringing back to my thumb
When I said I was right
But she protects her son standing right there
On the edge
And after, but I go out to work
[Guitar Solo]

Genius Annotation
This song is mostly about Julian’s (and maybe Albert’s) struggle with addiction. The theme of addiction appears in a lot of their songs like “Electricityscape”, “On the Other Side,‘ and "Soma.” He had told interviewers that he had struggled with drinking and heroin. Albert has also stated that he payed large sums for cocaine, heroine, and ketamine. Luckily, the band members are now recovered after rehab.
Ryan Adams, the long-time band manager, takes heavy responsibility for getting Julian and Albert addicted to heroin. He backlashed the band after being fired on Twitter saying “I should’ve got them addicted to writing better songs instead.”
