When I had went on a little shopping spree and I had bought some stuff for my girl. I was at the jeweler and I just said, “I wanna talk with my girl, I want to pick out a little necklace for my girl.” So when I got home, I was just like, “I should put some ice on my baby,” so I just ran with it. It really just came in here and write it, I was just listening to the beat, and the hook just came. I laid it down. It was actually the last song I put on the Investments 5 mixtape. It was the last song I put on that but it ended up being the biggest song on it.

I started messing with IceStarr just going on Soundclick, but after that, after I did the “Miss It” track with him, we did like 60 Million streams, so he just started sending me music after that. He was like, “Man, just kill it, whatever I send you, just kill it, man. You ain’t even gotta worry about the money right now.” So he just start sending me tracks, so I thought everything he sent me, I started just putting high songs on it, ‘til he just got to the point where he was like, “Ain’t no mind, just keep making hits.” I was getting more popular or something.
