Nicki Minaj Puts Her Own Spin On DaBaby’s “Suge”

She unveiled the remix on Queen Radio on Friday.

Nicki Minaj brought her Queen Radio show to Power106 on Friday and surprised fans with a remix of DaBaby’s hit song “Suge.”

Nicki appears to be shouting out her new boyfriend Kenneth Perry on the track:

On that D going stupid
Got my ass-shots from Cupid
You could just ask Ken
He be like “Hadouken!” (Rrrh)

And she fires off some bars about moving weight:

Drug lord, Griselda
I used to move weight through Delta
So stay in your place ‘cause I
Don’t wanna put you in a shelter
I’m cooking up in the kitchen
You could be my little helper

Although Nicki limits herself to one verse on the remix, her bars associate well with DaBaby’s, on one of his more commercially successful tracks. The record was the lead single off of the Charlotte, N.C. rapper’s debut album, Baby on Baby, and was responsible for his first Billboard 100 hit.

Nicki is known for keeping her Queen Radio sessions lively, often rattling off criticisms of other artists while on air, but her interpretations of hit songs are always a treat for listeners. Her “Suge (Remix)” resembles a similar cache of freestyles she released on the radio show back in February, which included remixes of Drake and Meek Mill’s “Going Bad,” Lil Baby and Gunna’s “Drip Too Hard,” and Blueface’s “Thotiana.”

“Suge” producer JetsonMade recently appeared on Genius’ series Deconstructed and broke down how the song was made:
