Big Conspiracy

J Hus

About “Big Conspiracy”

Big Conspiracy is J Hus' highly anticipated second studio album. It is the follow up to his 2017 breakthrough debut album Common Sense.

Following up from his release from prison in 2019 and the release of his Daily Duppy freestyle in April, J Hus released his first single titled “Must Be” on November the 8th, followed by “No Denying” on December the 27th.

The album originally leaked via WhatsApp on January 19th under the name Hustla Baby and had an additional song called “One and Only” featuring Ella Mai. Hus, in an Instagram post, announced that the track would be added upon clearance, which was done 10 days later.

The album ushered in a new era for J Hus, as songs like “Fight For Your Right” and “Triumph” displayed the mature mindset that he acquired following his stint inside of prison in 2018, especially the emotional curtain closer “Deeper Than Rap” which spoke on all topics from racism, self-love, introversion, colonialism, and war. Hus also introduced the world to his sister Iceé tGM who featured on the two openers as a unknown artist, but quickly became a talking point – even trending on Twitter in the UK for two days as fans demanded more music from her. The album, however, still includes bangers with songs like “Play Play” and “Repeat” with the help of global superstars Burna Boy & Koffee.

The album itself got a critical response upon release, debuting at Number 1 in the UK Album Charts in its debut week with little-to-no promotion.
