Honey, I'm Home Lyrics
It\'s falling apart
I was late for work and the boss got smart
My pantyline shows
Got a run in my hose
My hair went flat
Man, I hate that
I realized I forgot my purse
With all this stress
I must confess
This could be worse than PMS
Can\'t wait \'til the end of the day
Honey, I\'m on my way
Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!
Pour me a cold one and oh, by the way
Rub my feet, gimme something to eat
Fix me up my favorite treat
Honey, I\'m back, my head\'s killing me
I need to relax and watch TV
Get off the phone
Give the dog a bone
Hey! Hey! Honey, I\'m home!
I cursed out loud cos it hurt like hell
This job\'s a pain
It\'s so mundane
It sure don\'t stimulate my brain
Can\'t wait \'til the end of the day
Honey, I\'m on my way
Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!
Pour me a cold one and oh, by the way
Rub my feet, gimme something to eat
Fix me up my favorite treat
Honey, I\'m back, my head\'s killing me
I need to relax and watch TV
Get off the phone
Give the dog a bone
Hey! Hey! Honey, I\'m home!
Pour me a cold one and oh, by the way
Rub my feet, gimme something to eat
Fix me up my favorite treat
Honey, I\'m back, my head\'s killing me
I need to relax and watch TV
Get off the phone
Give the dog a bone
Hey! Hey! Honey, I\'m home!

this song rocks! big style

This song is awesome. I'm sure 9/10 women can relate to it!

tells a good story and has a very basic meaning yet powerful.

I love this song when it's been a long day. Always puts me in a good mood on the way home! Just one of those songs about the simple pleasures in life. I love Shania for writing about that.

This song pretty much is the greatest. Like CRYN OUT said, I think every woman can symaphize!

In the first verse, the narrator tells how her day started : she couldn't use her car because a clamp had been put, so she had to go to work by bus - and got summoned by her boss for being late. In the restroom, she realised she had her period and a hole in her pants - even her haircut made her look ugly.
In the second verse, she continues : she realised that she forgot her purse, so she couldn't pay the police to remove the clamp on her car. Back on the period - she confesses she had no protection in her panties and that got her stressed.
In the third verse, she ends the story : she swore a lot after breaking a nail, and her job isn't a bed of roses.
Then, back to present, with the pre-chorus : at her job, women are less paid than men, and all the dreadful situations she's had up to now would cause her to wait for the evening.
In the chorus, she is back home, her husband asks her "Hi honey, how was your day?" and she gives him a list of things to do : he is usually the one repairing her favourite object (no other indication given) that's been broken, cooking dinner and picking up the phone - to bring more kindness to their couple.
