Living and dying laughing and crying
Once you have seen it you will never be the same
Life in the fast lane is just how it seems
Hard and it is heavy dirty and mean
Motorbreath its how I live my life
I can't take it any other way
Motorbreath the sign of living fast
It is going to take your breath away
Don't stop for nothing its full speed or nothing
I am taking down you know whatever is in my way
Getting your kicks as you are shooting the line
Sending the shivers up and down your spine
Motorbreath its how I live my life
I can't take it any other way
Motorbreath the sign of living fast
It is going to take your breath away
Those people who tell you not to take chances
They are all missing on what life is about
You only live once so take hold of the chance
Don't end up like others the same song and dance
Motorbreath its how I live my life
I can't take it any other way
Motorbreath the sign of living fast
It is going to take your breath away
Once you have seen it you will never be the same
Life in the fast lane is just how it seems
Hard and it is heavy dirty and mean
Motorbreath its how I live my life
I can't take it any other way
Motorbreath the sign of living fast
It is going to take your breath away
Don't stop for nothing its full speed or nothing
I am taking down you know whatever is in my way
Getting your kicks as you are shooting the line
Sending the shivers up and down your spine
Motorbreath its how I live my life
I can't take it any other way
Motorbreath the sign of living fast
It is going to take your breath away
Those people who tell you not to take chances
They are all missing on what life is about
You only live once so take hold of the chance
Don't end up like others the same song and dance
Motorbreath its how I live my life
I can't take it any other way
Motorbreath the sign of living fast
It is going to take your breath away

this song rules
Yup.
obviously, this song is about doing what you want without letting anyone get in your way.
Living fast, doing drugs (which you shouldn't), pushing the boundaries, and living life to its fullest.
Life is short. Take a chance and live a little.
Hell Yeah!
to me it says to live life to the fullest, party, drink, fuck, seek, and destroy. another song about not giving a fuck and doing what you want to. take risks, do all the drugs on the table, live fast, die young, and leave a good looking corpse. Man, I fuckin' LOVE this song!!
Party all you want, fuck all you want, seek & destroy all you want, take as many risks as you want, live as fast as you want, but you shouldn't drink, do drugs, or want to die young. A metalhead that is healthy and wild will live longer and better than a metalhead who died from alcohol and drug abuse. For example, Bon Scott dies from his alcolhol drinking, and if he hadn't, then he'd still be here. Trust me, abandone the whiskey and cocaine and you'll realize how much more you'd enjoy yourself in life.
the gist reminds me of punk
I noticed that too!
Yeah, it's short and fast. Probably the most punk-influenced song they have.
The whole album reminds me of motorhead if you ask me, this song more than any. And wasn't Lars head of a Motorhead fan club for a while. They certainly show their roots.
Cliff was so trying to be Lemmy as well.
Lars loves the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, which were his main influences (maybe not so much now). Motorhead are considered the first speed metal band, which speed metal and thrash metal are closely similar. Cliff however, liked everything. Scott Ian (Anthrax) even said that once he saw Cliff wearing bellbottoms and a denim vest rocking out while listening to R.E.M., whether anyone thought it was cool or not. This shows how much of an awesome badass Cliff was. He didn't need to prove anything to anyone. (Rust In Peace Cliff, your fans love you and miss you).
yeah, metallica started out just playing motorhead covers. the title is probably a homage. good song from prebably their best album.
During their concerts, James Hetfield would dedicate this song to the road crew. Motorhead have a famous song titled "We Are The Road Crew". An obvious homage to them indeed.
this song is rumoured to be about cocaine use. Lars has admited that he was addicted to it for years.
Lars as a crack addict...Hmm
This song IS HARDCORE
No, this song is thrash.
do whatever the hell you want because no one really knows anything......
Quite possibly the greatest sentence ever...Props to you.
