Sublime-Sublime Acoustic: Bradley Nowell & Friends
Marley Medley: Guava Jelly/This Train
(laughter)
Yeah...
Baby I really want to know
I think you should stop your cryin'
Use my 'kerchief to dry your eyes
You know I love you
Ruby, here I am
A rub upon my belly like some Guava Jelly
Damsel, here I am
A rub upon my belly like some Guava Jelly
This Train, is Bound For Glory
This Train
Hear me talkin' about
This Train, is Bound For Glory
This Train
This Train, is Bound For Glory
This Train, will carry no unholy stone
That the builder refused
Shall always be the head cornerstone
Stone that the builder refused
Shall always be the head cornerstone
You're a builder baby
Here I am a stone
Don't mean to confuse it girl
'Cause the things you should use
Are the things we should choose
And you hear me
Hear what I say
This Train, Bound For Glory
This Train
This Train, is Bound For Glory
This Train
This Train, is Bound For Glory
This Train, carry no unholy
'Cause I
I just can't be sad...

I love this song, it almost brings me to tears and Bradley did a wicked job covering Marley who definitely had hard shoes to fill.
I love this song, I dont know what its supposed to mean, but my ex used to sing it to me all the time. And the first verse just made me wanna cry.
could have something to do with hopping trains :)
I don't know if Brad ever lived a freeloader life, but with him being into punk as a kid I wouldn't be surprised. People hop trains traveling around meeting new people and hoping to find a better life somewhere else.
i allways thought this was a marley cover...i think the verse goes "the stone that the builder refuse shall be the head corner stone"
It's headcorner stone and this is a marley cover. It's about moving into to new things in life.
This is a beautiful song, sometimes you love someone so much and everythings going wrong, and you wanna dry their tears and tell them how much you love them. I love you.
Gosh. I love brads voice...i could just cry every time i hear tis song. Has anyone ever noticed, Brad has one of those voices, when you hear it, it sounds so close and personal, its like listening to someone you know...?
dammit...i think i'm in love with life...and brad's voice...i think he's just like me...but better...
I always thought 'the stone that the builder refuse, shall always be the headcorner stone" meant when somebody think's there to good for you or better than you and you end up the "headcorner stone". or something to that effect. Or am I way off?
You're sortta right..."The stone that the builder refused, shall always be the headcorner stone" line is a parabol from the bible; Jesus is refurring to himself as the headcorner stone
