Well, there was no reason to believe she'd always be there
But if you don't put faith in what you believe in
It's getting you nowhere
'Cos it hurts, you never let go
Don't look down, just look up
Cos she's always there to behind you, just to remind you

Two hearts, believing in just one mind
You know we're two hearts believing in just one mind

'Cos there's no easy way to, to understand it
There's so much of my life in her
And it's like I'm blinded
And it teaches you to never let go
There's so much love you'll never know
She can reach you no matter how far
Wherever you are

Two hearts, believing in just one mind
Beating together till the end of time
You know we're two hearts believing in just one mind
Together forever till the end of time

She knows (she knows)
There'll always be a special place in my heart for her
She knows, she knows, she knows
Yeah, she knows (she knows)
No matter how far apart we are
She knows, I'm always right there beside her

We're two hearts, believing in just one mind
Beating together till the end of time
You know we're two hearts believing in just one mind
Together forever till the end of time

You know we're two hearts believing in just
Believing in just one mind, in just one mind, just one mind
Til the end of time
Two hearts, two hearts, believing in just one mind
Beating together til the end of time

Meaning: Distance means little as long as two lovers really care for each other.

Or your guardian angel decided to squish in next to you and he thinks riding tandem in your brain is sweet and darling .... Come on! You know it is!
You put a whole new slant on the possibilities that cosmic humor presents ... Gee, thanks loads ....I'm just trying to keep up with my trinity partners. Sure you are. I could tell instantly. Great song ....

The jester doffed his cap and bells The mocking court he stood before Could not see—the bitter smile Behind the painted grin he wore

My clumsy feet—still in some mire Go crushing blossoms without end But it is a kind-well-meaning-heart I thrust Among the heart strings of a friend

Some ill-timed truth we might have kept We know how sharp it pierced and stung But the word we had not sense to say Who knows how grandly it had rung? (Someone … probably …)

Do you remember—heart’s desire The night when Halloween first came? Some wild and wonderful magical fire My entire world in white-hot flame How anxiously we sweated bricks How tragic we were when nothing went right And then the blaze un-wrapped its tricks And filled the room with dancing light We couldn’t speak but only gaze In half belief what we had seen Our hearts—our world—our golden blaze Our love affair—our Halloween

Back then a thought occurred to me I ran outside with sudden shout And looked above my roof to see My own sweet heart fire drifting out And of all of life’s felicities A lovely one—says I Is when for the first time—she sees Her heart fire dancing in the sky

The passion and the unicorn Walked by a flower bed The month was May—the time was morn Their hearts were dull as lead Ah, Unicorn, the passion cried How tragic is this spring With talk of love on every side And strange the demons sing Then arm and foreleg intertwined Both mourned their crazy fate The one was single of her kind The other could not date

Classic love story true to his western tx roots. One of my favorites as a story, but I think there are alot of songs that are amazing not even listed on this site. I guess I should figure out how to add them, because I have about 8 REK cd's.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
