Uh-uh-uh-uh, uh-uh
Uh-uh-uh-uh, uh

All the things you said to me today
Changed my perspective in every way
These things count to mean so much to me
Into my faith you and your baby

It's out there, it's out there
It's out there, if you want me I'll be here
It's out there, it's out there
It's out there, if you want me I'll be here

I'll be dreaming my dreams with you
I'll be dreaming my dreams with you
And there's no other place that I'd lay down my face
I'll be dreaming my dreams with you

It's out there, it's out there
It's out there, if you want me I'll be here
It's out there, it's out there
It's out there, if you want me I'll be here

I'll be dreaming my dreams with you
I'll be dreaming my dreams with you
And there's no other place that I'd lay down my face
I'll be dreaming my dreams with you

Dreaming my dreams with you
I'll be dreaming my dreams with you
And there's no other place that I'd lay down my face
I'll be dreaming my dreams with you

Uh-uh-uh-uh, uh-uh
Uh-uh-uh-uh, uh

In this song it sounds like the guy is getting ready to leave her. She's trying a little to act like she's strong by saying you can go and leave me, but i'm probably still going to be in the same place loving you. She's dreaming about them and in her mind what she wanted the realationship to be. It's comes off as a love song, but i think this song is a little sad. The whole cd is basically about breaking up and feeling empty.

One of the greatest waltzes ever written. Its is the surrender that comes through in the melancholy music... the floating, detached way in which one gives themselves completely to the other.

she's basically saying that their love is "out there" and that she'll always be there for him. it's clearly a love song... and one of the best ones ever! <3

this song means that she is so in love with this person that she wants to be there for this person at all times and she wants to lay with him and sleep and dream with him.

dolores wrote this song at christmas time for her husband don, so it's pretty safe to say that it's about how much she loves him, and how all the dreams she might have had about her future husband have come true, and now she is living them out with him. it's her way of saying that she's happy with him. however, it can be perceived as a sad song, more because of the melody than of the lyrics because the melody is quite melancholic. but the lyrics can be interpreted as sad as well (even though i know they're not, i still do - due to the memories the song holds for me) if you think about it, the lines "it's out there, if you want me, i'll be there" could be someone saying that even though this other person doesn't want them right now, they'll still be there if they ever change their mind. also "i'll be dreaming my dreams with you" seems to imply that that's all they'll be doing with them - they won't be living with eachother, the only way they can be together is in this person's dreams. because of this you could easily think, or feel that the song is about losing someone, but not feeling bad feelings for them, more wishing them on their way or letting them know that you accept it and that you'll always be there. that's certainly what i think, and i think it's a beautiful song. a beautiful album really.

i agree with ya enero. No need to argue is definitely one of the best albums I've ever heard. In fact...if it weren't for McLachlan's fumbling towards ecstacy, this one could be No 1. This song in particular is so beautiful.

The character is so in love right now that she will be dreaming of her love.

I'm not religious at all, but the line "Into my faith, you and your baby" makes me think of Mary and Jesus. I wonder if it's not a love song but a song to Mary, saying that she believes that God is "out there".

So this has been.my favorite song of OTEP's since it came out in 2004, and I always thought it was a song about a child's narrative of suffering in an abusive Christian home. But now that I am revisiting the lyrics, I am seeing something totally new. This song could be gospel of John but from the perspective of Jesus. Jesus was NOT having a good time up to and during the crucifixion. Everyone in the known world at the time looked to him with fear, admiration or disgust and he was constantly being asked questions. He spoke in "verses, prophesies and curses". He had made an enemy of the state, and believed the world was increasingly wicked and fallen from grace, or that he was in the "mouth of madness". The spine of atlas is the structure that allows the titan to hold the world up. Jesus challenged the state and in doing so became a celebrated resistance figure. It also made him public enemy #1. All of this happened simply because he was doing his thing, not because of any agenda he had or strategy. And then he gets scourged (storm of thorns) There are some plot holes here but I think it's an interesting interpretation.

The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
