Come into these arms again
And lay your body down
The rhythm of this trembling heart
Is beating like a drum

It beats for you, it bleeds for you
It know not how it sound
For it is the drum of drums
It is the song of songs

Once I had rarest rose
That ever deigned to bloom
Cruel winter chilled the bud
And stole my flower too soon

Oh loneliness, oh hopelessness
To search the ends of time
For there is in all the world
No greater love than mine

Love, oh love, oh love
Still falls the rain (still falls the rain)
Love, oh love, oh, love
Still falls the night
Love, oh love, oh love
Be mine forever (be mine forever)
Love, oh love, oh love

Let me be the only one
To keep you from the cold
Now the floor of heaven's lain
With stars of brightest gold

They shine for you, they shine for you
They burn for all to see
Come into these arms again
And set this spirit free

I agree with everyone. This is one of the most chilling and haunting songs she has ever done. And I love it. It has got to be one of the best songs she has ever recorded. This song is the reason I fell in love with Annie Lennox.

I dont care if I've heard this song 189 times. It still gives me the chills everytime. LOVE THIS SONG!!! Bram Strokers Dracula was on Sci FI channel the other night. I was actually mad they scrolled the ending credits so fast. LOL I wanted to hear the song on TV even though I have in on my Ipod and computer.

I walked down the aisle to this on our wedding day. It worked so well. Only problem was that we didnt dare tell the parents the name of it. We just lied and said we didnt know,it was a song from a film. As my husbands dad is a vicar we didnt think he would have been happy to have a song with the word Vampire in the title played in church.

Beautiful song. I first heard it on Bram Stoker's Dracula, I think it fits the mood of the film perfectly.

This song is def a twin to "Unfair" (a song she has been quoted as saying is about falling in love with someone who is already in a relationship) so it is presumably about the same person. Given the references to buying an apartment and not being able to see her love interest "after tonight," it's most likely that she's moving away and she'll "wait a day to break the bad news" (i.e. notifying him that she's leaving once she's already gone). And, of course, the fact that she sees in him a fellow "idealist" and "dreamer" (terms commonly given to people with the INFP personality on the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)) portends that she'll always be left wondering if they would've been perfect together.

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.
