Fucking legendary song. Basically seems to be about Armageddon coming and celebrating it because it marks the end of humanity fucking up the planet.
seems more like the build up, anticipation, expectation, and hope for Armageddon or the like to happen at the turn of the century. the hope/want for change
There is optimism here and yes it's about a rebirth/cleansing that will eradicate our old ways and hopefully allow a new clean life. Perhaps Millenium is a metaphor for the corruption and injustice that we presently live in and Jazz sings of the day the powerful natural force comes and cleanses the unjust society we live in. Great song!!
