Keep on looking through the window again
But I'm not sorry if I do insult you
I'm sad, not sorry 'bout the way that things went
And you'll be happy and I'll be forsakin' thee
I swore I'd never feel like this again
But you're so selfish
You don't see you're doing to me
I keep on looking through the window again
No, I'm not sorry if I do insult you
No, I'm not sorry if I do insult you
You told me lies
And I cried, and I cried, and I cried
'Cause you lied, lied
And I cried
Yes I cried, yes I cry, I cry, I cry again
I realize
As he sighed and he sighed and he sighed
'Cause you lied, lied
And I cried
Yes I cried, yes I try, I try, I try again
Keep on looking through the window again
But I'm not sorry if I do insult you
I'm sad, not sorry 'bout the way that things went
And you'll be happy and I'll be forsakin' thee
I swore I'd never feel like this again
But you're so selfish
You don't see you're doing to me
I keep on looking through the window again
No, I'm not sorry if I do detest you
No, I'm not sorry if I do detest you
You told me lies
And I cried, and I cried, and I cried
'Cause you lied, lied
And I cried
Yes I cried, yes I cry, I cry, I cry again
I realize
As he sighed and he sighed and he sighed
'Cause you lied, lied
And I cried
Yes I cried, yes I try, I try, I try again
Keep on looking through the window again

This is probably my favorite Cranberries song. It's saying "Yeah, you treated me like crap and I'm not sorry that I hate you because of it."

I've felt everything that she says in this song when my ex decided to leave me for his ex-girlfriend. I love it when the artist's write songs that you can relate to.

i like what the line "I keep on looking through the window" because it puts to words those times when all you can do is tune out abuse by looking out a window or listening to music, etc...escaping by imagining yourself someplace outside of the situation you're in.

this illustrates that helpless disgust and sadness when someone refuses to hear you and what you are desperately trying to get across. he is sighing because he doesn't want to admit he is at fault, and he isn't even really paying any attention to what she is saying or the fact she is obviously so overrun with emotion. it's like talking to a brick wall when someone treats you that way. all your words just fall on deaf ears...the epitome of helplessness.

"you're so selfish you don't see what you're doing to me,"

the guy is so wrapped up in himself that he doesn't even open his eyes and see how much he is destroying her with his cruelty and heartlessness...and really, that's exactly what he is being...heartless.
Edited by delial on May 28 2008, at 06:52AM

this song is about a break up after abuse and shes just saying that shes not sorry if he's hurt that he lost her. she just couldn't handle all the pain the relationship brought upon her. she can't look him in the face because she has no respect for him, but she means everything she's saying.
