Suzie Q (Dale Hawkins cover) Lyrics
Oh Suzie Q
Oh Suzie Q Baby I love you
Suzie Q
I like the way you talk
I like the way you walk I like the way you talk
Suzie Q
Oh say that youll be true
Oh say that youll be true and never leave me blue
Suzie Q
Oh say that youll be mine
Oh say that youll be mine Baby all the time
Suzie Q
Oh, Suzie Q
Oh, Suzie Q, Baby, I love you
Suzie Q
I like the way you talk
I like the way you walk, I like the way you talk
Suzie Q
Oh, Suzie Q
Oh, Suzie Q, Baby, I love you
Suzie Q
If you have seen Apocalypse Now, esp. Redux, you will recall the scene where this song is used, whenever you hear it. CCR has become synonymous with the anti-Viet Nam movie. Start with Run thru the Jungle and Fortunate One.
That's kinda what come sot mind when I hear it now too. I love the drum in the beginning.

This song is about a dude not wanting to get into a relationship with a girl who would cheat on him, but he has alotta affection for her.
Though this is a cover, I do like this version better. I love the fade in and how Fogerty's vocals have a bit of reverb in them. Pretty simple meaning, but damn does the song just roll.
Man, I just learned tonight that this is a cover. I'm shocked. I listened to some oldies via youtube earlier today and this is one of them. (It's fun to go back in time and listen to songs of ones youth.) And atone time, this song got SO much air play.

I agree music maghine, this song seems cheesey but deep down everyone likes it. Old school rock and roll man. Cool guitar riff too. Love it!
Yeah, its basically old school rock and roll. One of those songs where you dont need lyrics or just repeat them to rip out some beautiful licks on the guitar.
It was written by Dale Hawkins, a rockabilly singer. Apparently his version had a short resurgence in popularity after these guys covered it.
Is a big big big ho
I think someone needs to tell her man Bruce
It has secret meaning (2 meanings):

@Naveed512 unfortunately your drug meaning fails the realms of reality. Suzie Q the song was released in 1957, the drug seroquel was developed in 1985.
