i luved the series "ED" wit the theme song it kicked soo much ass

This song used to be the theme song to the show 'Ed' on NBC. I really loved it as the theme, until this season when they switched to whatever shitty song they use now. Copyright issues, apparently, but still...I love this song.

You need to see the video to truly aprreciate this song. I think its about the use of the space race to cloud the events that were shaking America at the time, namely Vietnam. "Living with our heads underground" - ignoring what's really important. The video mixes tranquil scene's from space and the astronauts having a fun time with scenes of Vietnam, anti war rallies, explosions. Showing that everything may be fine and calm in space but down on earth things aren't as tranquil.

To me it means a lot, my fiance is a U.S. Marine and is on the Presidential Helicopter Squadron and flies quite a bit. I know he is just a portion of all that is guarding our country, but yet he is too. Therefore, it means a lot when it says "Then I can keep by your side". Another part is "coming home next year" because he very seldom gets to come home. I know this is not what the song means, about a Marine and his fiance, but that's what it means to me. I love you Howeman!

I love this song it is one of my favorites but I just want to know, Does anybody else out there believe that on the TINLTL cd they sort of mess up the song a little when they repeat it again at the end? It is still a great song though.

This was a perfect coming home song for me a while ago when I went to Australia to study for a year. It fit so well as i was playing it on the airplane, flying over the wide Pacific ocean for 17 hours.
