The Nile Song Lyrics
when I saw the lady smile
I would take her out a while for a while
like tears that like a child
how her golden hair was blowing wild
then she spread her wings to fly for to fly
soaring high above the breezes
going always where she pleases
I will follow her in her shadow
and I'll watch her from my window
one day I will catch her
summoning my soul to endless sleep
she is bound to drag me down

It would be intresting to know what would of happened if Pink Floyd mixed this loud and dramatic sound in The Nile Song with their other music. Would Floyd be considered a legendary heavy metal band too?

Great song. But what does drag down means? I can't find it in any dictionary:)

Pink Floyd goes hardXcore.

Funny grungy stuff... I usually don't like when David try to shout, but this time he did it right...

drag someone down is like... make sombody fail... or to drag them to do things that arent right... hope I've helped..

seems like waters is being led on by a girl he can't have?

good song

Pink Floyd go hard rock and do a bloody good job of it! Great song!

Superb song! And the fact that this type of song was performed in 1969 is brilliant. They were way ahead of their time on this one. It also shows that Pink Floyd could have taken on different types of music and still be successful with it.

Nick Mason did awsome in this song on the drums
He's one of the best and never tries to drum beyond the song
He's one of the best and never tries to drum beyond the song
