Ihr stürzt nieder, Millionen?
Ahnest du den Schöpfer, Welt?
Such' ihn über'm Sternenzelt
Über Sternen muss er wohnen

Hold me
Like the River Jordan
And I will then say to thee
You are my friend

Carry me
Like you are my brother
Love me like a mother
Will you be there?

Weary
Tell me, will you hold me?
When wrong will you scold me?
When lost will you find me?

But they told me
A man should be faithful
And walk when not able
And fight 'til the end, but I'm only human

Everyone's taking control of me
Seems that the world's got a role for me
I'm so confused, will you show to me
You'll be there for me
And care enough to bear me?

(Hold me) show me
(Lay your head lowly) told me
(Softly then boldly) yeah
(Carry me there) I'm only human

(Lead me) hold me
(Love me and feed me) yeah, yeah
(Kiss me and free me) yeah
(I will feel blessed) I'm only human

(Carry) carry
(Carry me boldly) carry
(Lift me up slowly) yeah
(Carry me there) I'm only human

(Save me) lead me
(Heal me and bathe me) lift me up, lift me up
(Softly you say to me)
(I will be there) I will be there

(Lift me) told me, yah
(Lift me up slowly)
(Carry me boldly) yeah
(Show me you care) you will be there

(Hold me) woo
(Lay your head lowly) get lonely sometimes
(Softly then boldly) I get lonely, yeah, yeah
(Carry me there) carry me there

(Lead me) woo
(Love me and feed me) lift me up, hold me up
(Kiss me and free me) lift me up sometimes, up sometimes
(I will feel blessed) yeah

In our darkest hour
In my deepest despair
Will you still care?
Will you be there?
In my trials and my tribulations
Through our doubts and frustrations
In my violence, in my turbulence
Through my fear and my confessions
In my anguish and my pain
Through my joy and my sorrow
In the promise of another tomorrow
I'll never let you part
For you're always in my heart

i disagree with all the pedaphile accusations. one of the accusers fathers admitted that he wanted to ruin MJ, leave the poor guy alone, he wrote this song out of pure anguish for all the troubles he's had to face: an abusive father, all the accusations against himself, etc. i think the song is basically sayin that he is trying to live but it is difficult. in example he says "But they told me A man should be faithful And walk when not able And fight till the end But I'm only human" everyone seems to expect the guy to be perfect cause he is Michael Jackson, but he is only human like the rest of us. he's been through addictions and has faced hardships just like the rest of us. also the whole thing about everyone's trying to take hold of me i think is all the paparazzi trying to control and run his life.

i think the whole song basically gives the gist that he is looking for someone to who can lend a shoulder in his time of need. he was looking for somone who he could trust, someone who could love him and help him through his sorrows. it almost seems like this song is referenced toward his asking God to take Michael in His hands and comfort in him in all his sorrows, pains, and agony.

i know accusations don't give him any excuse, but he is probably just ripped on a lot cause he has a lot of money and people know they can get it off of him.

This song touched me so much today as I watched the world say good by to an Icon. MJ was the greatest performer of our time and he is greatly missed. My heart is broken. May God me with his children in these next few months and may they always know that their dad was a great man and not a freak. R.I.P. Michael

I'm glad to say I was allways there! :) I think this song is meant for everyone that knew him. His family, his friends and his fans. It just says "look, I'm a man, I'm human, I make mistakes. But I'm capable of loving you with all of your flaws, can you say the same when it comes to me?"

    Miss you like hell!

Michael, I love you so much. I'm sorry you had to suffer so much shit -- thank you for your love and your music, and if we do go anywhere after we die, I know you're in a better place; I know you're with God. Rest in peace, I love you.

This really is a beautiful song. It's amazing that he was able to produce so many songs with positive meanings considering all the difficulties he faced during his career and his childhood. In some ways, I wonder if his zeal to express love for children was his own way of trying to ensure that others didn't have to suffer the way he did as a child. (I'm not a psychologist or anything, it's just a guess)

I feel like as the "smoke" clears, it's much easier to see that regardless of whatever happened in his personal life (I'd rather be optimistic and hope that rumors were not true...), Michael tried his best to be a positive role model.

As I walked out to the street this morning, the sun was shining and this song was playing from a nearby shop. I couldn't help but feel incredibly happy and hopeful.

I agree with lola -- thanks for doing your best to help.

    My Interpretation

In my opinion the message of the whole song can be found in the last (spoken) part. For short: It's about liking a human in all situations. He is questioning if someone will be there for him while feeling good and especially when feeling bad. The sadness of the voice indicates that he wasn't in a good mood when he wrote or even when he sang this.

In our darkest hour In my deepest despair Will you still care? Will you be there? In my trials And my tripulations Through our doubts And frustrations In my violence In my turbulence Through my fear And my confessions In my anguish and my pain Through my joy and my sorrow In the promise of another tomorrow Ill never let you part For youre always in my heart.

I will admit, I judged Michael for all his crazy antics. But after he passed way, I bought this song and started listening to it. I realized how he was just trying to find his way, but with EVERYONE watch his every move he couldn't never find his way. He was only human, I highly doubt anyone of us could handle his pressure.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
