Jamie, what you doin' now
What you doin' now girl?
Please, please tell me
Cuz I need to know, I need to know now
When I was down, you came to me
And promised you'd always be
By my side, now you're gone
And I'm waiting patiently
But Jamie, I want you to know
Jamie, Jamie, I'm so glad you're mine
We'll be together a long time

Jamie, who's faxin' you now?
Who's dialin' your car phone?
Please, please be true
You know that I trust you, do that which you must do

You've got the Beach Boys, and your firm's got the Stones
But I know you won't leave me alone
Sometimes it seems you're not with me
It hurts me so much, It hurts me so much

You are the most, you're so rad, you're so fresh
And I'm glad I am yours, you are mine
Show me where and I will sign
Jaime, believe me, I won't let you down
Cuz you are the best lawyer in town

I think by the line, "you are the best laywer in town" is just a reference to that person, and how they always win, in fights or whatnot. She can manipulate you, like a lawyer.

I agree, the acoustic version is incredible; But if she is not really a lawyer, I dont get the line "and your firm's got the Stones." Anyone, anyone?

..this song is about weezer's lawyer. her name is jamie and they wrote a song about her. "your firm.." as in, the law firm she works for. i dunno, i thought that was obvious by the last line...

this is a freaking cool song, and the acoustic version is great too.

Actually, Karl told me Rivers wrote this song about his brother then changed it to a love song. His brother became a lawyer and changed his name from Leaves to James. I dunno... Weezer:cutlery might be right, though.

This is my favorite song. I dont know why but everytime i hear it i tear up a little bit. I always thought he was singing about a girl he dated that was a lawyer...learn something new everyday. But I dont care what the song is about...I love it.

i'm not really sure who it's about, i was just going by the lyrics, i haven't really heard any stories about it. and if karl told emo saves the day that it's about leaves/james (leaves is a cool name), then that is probably a better explaination than mine..because karl knows all...woo for karl!!!

He reuses the verse melody from the previous album's "Dirty Little Religion", the topics of the verses are all over the place, and he packs too many words into one line (goes to show...) and too few in another (it's pretty hard to find), and rhymes "Henley Regatta" with "Persona non grata", but gets away with it all as only he could.

Like a lot of the other comments are saying, I think this mainly about voyeurism. If the song was about his girlfriend, then why would he use the word spy. If you are a spy it means you shouldn't be caught, that is kind of the whole point, and if you are a voyeur, the whole point of the pleasure you get from it, is the fact that the other people don't know you are watching them. See a bit of a connection there?

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
