Did I Fool Ya? Lyrics
And mother clings to anniversary years
And the sister she got a little bit of mister in her
And the brothers going round around his bed
Didn't daddy fool ya?
He go once, he going twice He go for 35 or 40
He go once, he going twice He go for 45 or 50
He go once, he going twice He go 55 or maybe he will make it up to 65
He go once, he going twice Aint it nice price wise?
I gotta a nice life for the price
Look what I found I give and give
I give and give and I lay it all down
Look what I found, look what I found
Blue skies they're smiling at me
And that's my favorite melody
But I can't read I can't read
I can't read between the things unseen
And I don't mind I don't mind
I don't mind if I don't find because I tried
Absolutely definitely positive
I'm absolutely definite absolutely positive
Absolutely definitely positively representative
Did I fool ya? Or didn't daddy fool ya?
He go once, he going twice He go for 35 or 40
He go once, he going twice He go for 45 or 50
He go once, he going twice He go 55 or maybe he will make it up to 65
He go once, he going twice Aint it nice price wise?
I gotta a nice life for the price

ahh i rly love this song! "I'm absolutely definite absolutely positive Absolutely definitely positive I'm absolutely definite absolutely positive Absolutely definitely positively representative" thats so catchy its always stuck in my head... and it took me forever to figure out how to say it lol... i have not a clue what it means, but i like it!

HA! me too! i kept messing it up til one day i just deicided to put that line on repeat til i got it right.
the meaning of this song, however, has flown over my head.

I think this song has a humorous sarcastic tone, and jason wrote it about his claim to fame and how things that mattered before doesnt seem as important now..."i gotta nice life for the price"..i guess he feels theres more good that came out of it than bad. as for the title"Did I fool ya?" well some people probably didnt think he'd go as far as he did.anyone agree or disagree?I'd love to read more comments on this song

I think that Jason is saying that everyone's so sure of what they know and how people fit into neat little boxes, but they end up fooled. That's the reason for the intro verse. "I can't read between the things unseen" means that he can't judge others based on what he doesn't know.
