Company Lyrics
Cause anything's better than this
Mix it up with vicadin
Cause anything's better than this
Little cuts on your wrist,
To try and get back the feeling
And no real friendships exists
That would be an understatement
(cannot show up)
Friends you knew before
(hello, how have you been?)
This is your season
(oh I give up)
Just show up
(I can't knock on your door)
I'm trouble
So go on stay away from me
I play the villain
You don't know where we've been
Start your engines
Old english is making me manic
I go to SuicideGirls again
To check on anything I missed
The stitches don't even begin
To even stop up the bleeding
Can we get the chemicals in
Cause anything's better than this
(at least to me)
The city is dead now
(my kingdom for a friend)
Are you even trying
(to find some peace)
Don't need a reason
(I get some living in)
I'm in trouble
Last chance stay away from me
I play the villain
You don't know where we've been
Keep saying this will end
I'm in trouble
Keep saying this will end
Lining em up again
You know I'll never change
Start your engines

OK, apparently it takes one to know one: this song is about the disease of ADDICTION, to a t.
Absolutely. Addiction to pills, alcohol (olde english is malt liquor), porn (suicide girls), self-harm...

I think this song has to be about a manic depressant person and possibly someone who suffers from self mutillation, due to the "little cuts on your wrist" and "can we get the chemicals in" or maybe chemicals is medication or drugs either one is a possiblilty.

This song is just about craziness basically. About drug use and anything to have a good time. It's about the steroetypical perception that peoplehave about people who do all this stuff. They are labeled asbad company, and then people are defined by the company they keep. Just a thought

Is it just me, or does the "hello, how have you been?" sound more like "how long girl has it been?" Anyway great song.

wahoo rock on to "can we get the chemicals in?"

this song is incredibly depressing...kinda like slow motion..wow..slow motion was just like..damn..he says all of it so casually too..

I think this song is about suicide, a person who is not okay being who he is or with the live he lives... So he's way of seeing life makes him feel like if he was a living-death... so he has the necesity of cutting his wrist "to try and get back the feeling". "Can we get the chemicals in? cause anythings better than this" is, I think, talking about drugs that made him forget how pathetic and empty his life had become. The "company" part talks about how could some persons get to be a bad influence for others, and they persuade them to do things that are not correct. I had always think that the part of "I play the villain" is like putting all the blame upon a person for your mistakes and the things that are messed up in your life... I like this song is just... so... Fast!!!

I really am confused about this song ... to me its about someone who does drugs , then meets someone and feels that they are the bad infulence and should stay away. "Cause I keep bad company I'm trouble So go on stay away from me I play the villain You don't know where we've been"

this is my favorite on this CD, you actually did it right on this song WOW. :|

It's about the stereotypes attached to drug users and friends of drug users. He seems depressed and he's definitely self-injuring: "Little cuts on your wrist to try and get back the feeling". (SM and SI are way different, just so you know). He's sick and he's self medicating to escape it: "cause anything's better than this". People assume drug users are just losers, but in reality most of them are really sick. The "bad company" is scared to reconnect with old friends for fear of being rejected, because of the way everyone might view the friend.
