I'm in love with you, you silly thing
Anyone can see
What is it with you, you silly thing
Just take it from me

It was not a chance meeting
Feel my heart beating
You're the one

You could take all this, take it away
I'd still have it all
'Cause I've climbed the tree of life
And that is why, no longer scared if I fall

When I get lost in space
I can return to this place
'Cause, you're the one

Nothing fails
No more fears
Nothing fails
You washed away my tears
Nothing fails
No more fears
Nothing fails
Nothing fails

I'm not religious

But I feel so moved
Makes me wanna pray
Pray you'll always be here

I'm not religious
But I feel such love
Makes me want to pray

When I get lost in space
I can return to this place
'Cause you're the one

I'm not religious
But I feel so moved
I'm not religious
Makes me wanna pray
I'm not religious (I'm not religious)
But I feel so moved (But I feel so moved)
Makes me wanna pray (But I feel so moved)
Pray you'll always be here

I'm not religious (I'm not religious)
But I feel such love
Makes me wanna pray

I'm not religious (But it makes me wanna play)
But I feel so moved
I'm not religious (But it makes me wanna play)
Makes me wanna pray (Makes wanna play)

I'm not religious
But I feel so moved (Makes me wanna)
I'm not religious
Makes me wanna pray (Makes me wanna)

Nothing fails
No more fears
Nothing fails
You washed away my tears
Nothing fails
No more fears
Nothing fails

    Song Meaning

Very Sad, Moving and Heartfelt Country/Rock ballad-Nothing Fails it is named and just like Like a Prayer, Don't Tell Me and Falling Free, the song cries about the unrequited love Madonna had for and with Guy Ritchie and why it ended so sadly. Even with the optimistic message "I'm not religious/But I Feel moved and loved/It makes me want to pray that you'll always be here!/Nothing Fails!" Except that Guy wasn't there for Madonna when she needed him most and that makes Nothing Fails poignant, sad and heartbreaking. Taylor Swift may have written her first hit Teardrops on My Guitar but here, Madonna means because along with her sad and beautiful voice, her black acoustic guitar is equally sad! I was moved and touched when Madonna sang and played Nothing Fails during the Reinvention Tour but for now, Nothing Fails is too sad and harrowing to sing and cry. (Perhaps that's why she's not playing it during MDNA?) Nothing Fails-a beautiful song about a friendship too desperate and beautiful to last. One of the Saddest Madonna ballads I've heard-but Madonna can always sing it to her audience who loves her!

Wow, I can't believe there aren't more comments on this song; probably the best track off American Life. I'm not 100% sure on what this songs completely about, but its seems to be Madonna looking back on her life and feeling complete with the comfort of her loved one. I think its directed at Guy Richie. (For those who don't know, Guy Richie's the man who directed Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.) I think the verse about not being religious is another way of expressing her love amd describing how moved she feels when she's with him. I don't know, I could be wrong.

aaaaactually... Madonna didn't write this song. Jem did. it was a collaboration between her and Guy that Madonna only got involved in down the road.

madonna did write this song and if YOU knew anything about the way she writes, then you'd know that. anyways, yes i agree with Tom999. this is a very pretty song and it sounded even better live when she was on MTV for "Madonna: ON STAGE AND ON THE RECORD" in 2003. i'm sure you'll be able to find that performance at Limewire or Ares. so, please do that. you won't regret it at all.

Jem did write the original lyrics to this song when it was originally intitled "the one," however, it was later given to Madonna in which she changed most of the original lyrics.

I love this song..to me she is singing to her husband and saying how he's the one for her..it moves her to the point of wanting to pray

When I first heard this song a couple of years ago, it instantly reminded me of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy. It is also about religion and the main characters fall in love in the end. Also, the melody fitted the feelings I had about the book at that time. One of the best Madonna songs!

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
