Bunker Hill Lyrics

She...
She...
She...

Off the bus, onto the train
Getting all too high, gotta head on 5th and main
I look like you, I feel the same
You don't even know my name

I got this town all to myself
Well everybody's gone to the everybody shelf

Are you coming through? Do you want me to -
take your body?
It would be so cool to be cool with you -
I said lordy lordy

I don't like blood into the chain
There ain't an element that stays up in my brain
A dirty sun will burn away
Do you even want to stay?

Are you coming through? Do you want me to -
take your body?
It would be so cool to be cool with you -
I said lordy lordy
Where'd you get that bruise? Do you want me to -
take your body?
I must still, taking your bod away

[Bridge]

Are you coming through? Do you want me to -
take your body?
It would be so cool to be cool with you -
I said lordy lordy
Where'd you get that bruise? Do you want me to -
take your body?
I must still, taking your bod away

Gaddamn, this song should've featured on an album. More people would know it that way. That little thing John does over the second verse. Beautiful. Nah screw it, I cannot pick a single flaw, so the whole freakin' lot is beautiful.

After a bit more research...

5th and main is a street in Nashville, and "getting hot" refers to..ya know..so I've concluded that this song is about banging a hooker. Or love at first sight.

deep deep song in my eyes with love of someone who is now missing from one of their lives. could be fictional but not sure. when i hear this song i always feel better about myself and to me i think that ak is trying to tell us what he believes he needs in a woman but there are a lot of limations to it. the music played by chad in this song is really strong too. i havent listened to this song in ages i'll get back to you if i find anything out about it

An incredibly powerful song, which didn't get the recognition it deserved. This would of been huge..

I think its about love at first sight. I'm still trying to figure that part of it out.. Incredible.

To me, it seems like he is trying to rescue someone he loves dearly from either pain or an abusive relationship. This song is my favorite, and i will always love it

From personal experience and point of view, this is the meaning I have concluded as well.

i think the lyric is actually "it would feel so good, to be cool with you"

and also it sound more like "blood into the drain" which makes more sense as well

@sleeves It's definitely 'cool', not good. However I do think it might be 'it would FEEL so cool' instead of 'it would be so cool'.
