I-E-A-I-A-I-O Lyrics

Peter's pecker picked another
Pickle bearing pussy pepper,
Peter's pecker picked another
Pickle bearing pussy pepper, Why.

Meeting John at Dale's Jr.
Winked an eye and point a finger,
Meeting John at Dale's Jr.
Winked an eye and point a finger, Why.

A former cop, undercover,
Just got shot, now recovered,
A former cop, undercover,
Just got shot, now recovered, Why.

Fighting crime, with a partner,
Lois Lane, Jimmy Carter,
Fighting crime, with a partner,
Lois Lane, Jimmy Carter, (siren).

AA EE EH AA EH AA OH
AA EE EH AA EH AA OH, Why
As we light up the sky.

Peter's pecker picked another

One flag, flaggy but one,
Painting the paintings of the alive.

On the fourth of July.

We all get that I-E-A-I-A-I-O are the vowels to idealization, illegalization, liberalization, and internalization.

The part that confuses us is: Mine delusions acquainted = MDA Bubbles erotica = BE Plutonium wedding rings = PWR Icicles stretching = IS Bicycles, shoestrings = BS One flag, flaggy but one = OF FBO Painting the paintings of the alive = PPA

Is it possible that the first letter to each word make up acronyms (or stand for other words)?

MDA - Media BE - Back-end PWR - Power IS - is BS - Bull S(h)it OF - Opposing Force FBO - For the Benefit Of PPA - Propaganda

Could the song be telling us that "Media back-end power is a bull s(h)it opposing for the benefit of propaganda"?

You are quite a philosopher, my friend. If SOAD is that deep with their meaning, I am going to forever look at them in a different way. I wouldn't think that would be the message at all, but it all comes together, thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I am pretty sure they are that deep. They often admonish of riots that got beaten down, wars, abuse of power and media etc Would never have figured out that the bubbles part is a code, but as i read the letters i instantly interpretes them the way iareebee did. Still some of the other interpretations are plausible as well though, and i wouldnt wonder if soad intended it that way

@lareebee Wow such a cipher, just...wow. Don't you think it might be kinda like...an overthinking? Because you know I though they were artists, not agents. I also supposed that lyrics originated from poetry, which is based on unconsciouss impression of words, that were used, not ciphers...oh my god:D

when they sing I-E-A-I-A-I-O it sounds like the KKK(Klu Klux Klan) chant. When the tongue twisters are being sung most of names that are said are old military operations/missions. I think the song is about American patriotism, and American nuclear power. I think when the part "plutonium wedding rings" is sung, its talking about how America has the highest divorce rate, plutonium has a really short half-life, with that we can figure that its talking about short lived marriages. When they talk about "Painting the paintings of the alive I think they are talking about how when a Nuclear bomb is detonated it burn the shadows of the people into the ground, hence painting paintings of the alive. There is something about the fourth of July in the original version of the song. The "Night Rider" theme is played but I don't know what it has to do with anything. Well that is my contribution :D

Song Meaning

@Ritzcrakerz I like your take on the lyrics, but Plutonium isotopes have, in the least, a half life of 87 years, 6 thousand and 24 thousand years respectively, which isn't exactly that short :p

I believe this song is about the superficiality of the mass media and how Hollywood has now become the new "opiate of the masses". The chorus is the anthem of the celebrities, who infer themselves as the "stars" of the universe that is Hollywood(literally...they light up the sky).

No idea wtf this song could mean. Maybe something about patriotism, what with thr whole thing about "one flag, flaggy but one" and the "light up the sky" meaning 4th of July...

Someone help me out...

i think it has something to do with the way america is today and how our actions affect the nation

Idealization without consonants = IEAIAIO. This is the ideal version of America (Sarcasm). The first part is gossip, the affairs and secret meetings and murdered cops. It reflects American "comics" The "Bubbles erotica" part is off of a song on the same album called bubbles, which is about the arms race.

Seeing America thrives on violence and the arms race the plutonium wedding rings is sarcastically saying what sacred unions will come too in the near future. This is all represented by the American flag on the Fourth of July, the bubble is also like an explosion like the fourth of July, but with plutonium.

Red007's review above is also good and plausible.

I heard this song on the day the CD was released and right then, nobody understood, after a while, you see what Serj Tankians talking about, with his list of stories of cops who could have died, blaming another at a restaurant (pointing a finger) then when he lists icicles, bicycles, shoestrings, and a flag, hes saying a list of random distractions and then tossing in a patriotic flag to stand by, basically what he thinks the government does to you, shows you ludacris things to distract you from there actions, but makes you stand by those actions as if they were your own, just because you should obey your country and have some liberty but not know a single thing there doing. All there songs are basically long drawn out, hard to interpret, hit and runs on the government.

I only wanna add something..

"Painting the paintings of the alive" I think this means that politics do what ever they want and need to do with us; make us live their way. And one of the correct meaning "Painting the paintings", i think, it is the way they wanna show to us the 'world picture'. For example, in the news they say terrorist, terrorist! blew up this or that! However, there is no terrorists, it's only what they want you to believe..

There's people dealing with their problems and/or anger by blowing shit up and killing innocent bystanders. Label them what you want.

I-E-A-I-A-I-O is most definately a chant that the KKK said during their attacks. System is talking about how messed us things work.
