Hit me

Can you keep up?
Baby boy, make me lose my breath
Bring the noise, make me lose my breath
Hit me hard, make me lose my (huh-huh)
Can you keep up?
Baby boy, make me lose my breath
Bring the noise, make me lose my breath
Hit me hard, make me lose my breath (huh-huh)

Ooh
I put it right there, made it easy for you to get to
Now you want to act like ya don't know what to do
After I done everything that you ask me
Grabbed you, grind you, liked you, tried you
Move so fast, baby, now I can't find you
Ooh
I'm startin' to believe that I'm way too much for you
All that talk but it seems like ya can't come through
All them lies like you could satisfy me
Now I see where believing you got me
Gave you the wheel but you can't drive me

Can you keep up?
Baby boy, make me lose my breath
Bring the noise, make me lose my breath
Hit me hard, make me lose my (huh-huh)
Can you keep up?
Baby boy, make me lose my breath
Bring the noise, make me lose my breath
Hit me hard, make me lose my breath (huh-huh)

Ooh
Two things I don't like when I'm tryna get my groove
Is a partner that meets me only halfway and just can't prove
Take me out so deep when you know you can't swim
Need a lifeguard and I need protection
So put it on me deep in the right direction
Ooh
You understand the facts that I'm tryna give to you
You're movin' so slow like you just don't have a clue
Didn't mama teach you to give affection?
Learn the difference of a man and an adolescent
It ain't you, boo, so get to stepping

Can you keep up? (Ooh)
Baby boy, make me lose my breath (my breath)
Bring the noise, make me lose my breath
Hit me hard, make me lose my (huh-huh)
Can you keep up?
Baby boy, make me lose my breath
Bring the noise, make me lose my breath
Hit me hard, make me lose my breath (huh-huh)

Can you keep up?
Baby boy, make me lose my breath
Bring the noise, make me lose my breath
Hit me hard, make me lose my (huh-huh)
Can you keep up?
Baby boy, make me lose my breath
Bring the noise, make me lose my breath
Hit me hard, make me lose my breath (huh-huh)

If you can't make me say ooh
Like the beat of this drum
Why you askin' for some
You ain't really want none
If you can't make me say ooh
Like the beat of this groove

You don't have no business in this
Here's your papers, baby, you are dismissed

(Come on, breathe with me)
(Huh-huh, Darkchild, come on, let's go)

Can you keep up?
Baby boy, make me lose my breath
Bring the noise, make me lose my breath
Hit me hard, make me lose my (huh-huh)
Can you keep up?
Baby boy, make me lose my breath
Bring the noise, make me lose my breath
Hit me hard, make me lose my breath (huh-huh)

Can you keep up?
Baby boy, make me lose my breath
Bring the noise, make me lose my breath
Hit me hard, make me lose my (huh-huh)
Can you keep up?
Baby boy, make me lose my breath
Bring the noise, make me lose my breath
Hit me hard, make me lose my breath (huh-huh)

I don't think it is totally 100% about sex. in interviews they always get michelle to say that it's about guys that can't impress them or keep up with the fast life they live. the secret to a chart hit is to have a song with multiple meanings so more ppl can relate. like this. the breathing is so hot though, alot of thier songs have sexual noises like this. Some subliminal shit. Especially on Survivor album. Sounds like they they recorded themselves getting it sometimes.

My opinion is that, yea it has a bunch of meanings - sex, relationships, etc..., but I think really it's about the girls saying they want that one guy that can 'sweep them off their feat' kinda thing, you know, like a person that will totally blow them away and all, to satisfy them in all ways, as a lover, partner etc....

ok please tell me-is this song sposed to be all about sex and how the boi cant satisfy her, get it up, get her in the mood etc etc- or is it about the actual relationship and how hes not ready and not giving her what she needs in the relationship? such a sneaky song- whats the verdict?

Ministry
Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.
