The meaning of the lyrics I hear

"Since we talked alone Come angels of the Lord Come angels of unknown"

is the thought of having a deep conversation with someone close to you that could have been life changing. It could even be a deep realization with God. I have left a conversation before with the feeling that I have no idea what path to take or where to go next. The breath leaves you and you pick up your pace to get to your car. You race home and at the first red light a tear rolls down your face. It does not even need to be a conversation; you could have lost a loved one weeks ago and the impact of their life on yours just hit you. They're gone. There is no more hearing their voice on the other end of the phone. The feeling of loneliness or confusion often leads us to seek comfort from a power beyond human comprehension. These lyrics then mean that some people may call to the Lord to send help first because that is who they are familiar with. But then there is the omnipresent question: Who is God? Then we call the angels of unknown if we do not have the faith to believe in a presence such as God.
The key of this song along with the few choice notes speaks to me the most. When I first heard the notes that are so defined, just a guitar and his voice, it felt pure to me. His emotion and passion comes through the stress in his voice and the fact that you cannot even hear his voice that clearly emphasizes the message of distress. Thank you for speaking to me through this song MCR! Just thought I'd share. :)

I think it's cool that Gerard sounds a bit like Thom Yorke from Radiohead on this one, that's interesting :)

haha, not really much to go on is there!

hmm, a shot in the dark maybe, but maybe the "come of angels unknown" means something to do with the angels not being from heaven (the known), but from hell. so it's about his (lonely) journey to hell. plus its pretty morbid, and kind of plodding, so i think yeh, its about his lonely journey, or maybe after the journey, and he's pleading for his biatch back.

This song doesn't really mean anything to me. But it's probably one of my favorite things on Three Cheers... That album has been kind of disappointing to me. It kind of reminds me of Sunny Day Real Estate.

MCR reminds you of sunny day real estate? Wow, never heard that one before...

sunny day real estate sucks, and so does this interlude.

I dont really like this interlude. It....seems weird to have this on there. I mean, there's only a few words, how much could it mean?

I find the interlude really interesting. It's unique and it's a lovely way of having the transition between songs. It's serves as a nice opener for "Thank You For The Venom" plus it really purty! :D I think it was a smart idea on their part.

Three Cheers was pretty satisfying for me, and I've loved My Chemical Romance for a whil now. I'd have to say this Interlude seems like they're trying to do what they did with playing Romance as the opener for I Brought You My Bullets you Brought Me Your Love. You know, trying to give it that extra edge? I definitely thought it worked better on Romance then it did with the Interlude, but it's all good to me.

people have to keep in mind that yeah sure its only a few words, but remember a few words mixed with music can have so much more meaning than a song. those few words could explain the whole concept of the album if listend and thought about it long enough.

great interlude , love it heaps
