Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah,
Collapse!
I'm drinking too much blah blah
Blah blah blah blah blah blah,
Fall out!
I'm feeling really blah blah
I want to blah blah blah,
Collapse!
And in the end, it means I'm
Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
The end!
Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah,
Watch out!
I didn't believe the patience of life
Blah blah blah blah blah,
Collapse!
Don't you get too close, or I'll
Blah blah blah blah blah,
Break out!
Stick it up your nose,
Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah,
The end!
It lovely in my heart (?)
I tried to be a charmer,
But I'm all hopeless and stuff
The world is very sexy,
It's part of my collapse
Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
I'm looking in my blah blah
Blah blah blah blah blah blah
Fall out!
I'm feeling really blah blah
I want to blah blah blah,
Collapse!
And in the end, it means I'm
Blah blah blah blah blah blah,
The end!
It lovely in my heart (?)
I tried to be a charmer,
But I'm all hopeless and stuff
The world is very sexy,
It's part of my collapse
Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
I'm looking in my blah blah
Blah blah blah blah blah blah,
Fall out!
I'm feeling really blah blah
I want to blah blah blah,
Collapse!
And in the end, it means I'm
Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah,
The end!
Rock it, rock it!

I've thought of it as being about how celebrities don't try hard to put out music that has any actual meaning to it anymore. The lines that go with the 'blah blah blahs' are about how all music during the time is just about the same exact stuff, and that eventually the meanings fade and it just sounds like every other type of music that's around.
I've always heard the other part as being:
I didn't mean to do it It loved me in my head I tried to a charmer But got a bit hopeless instead The world is very sexy It's part of my collapse
This part is about how the celebrities try to get out of things, like when you hear about a celebrity having an alcohol addiction or a drug problem. They claim they 'didn't mean to do it, it loved me in my head'. They 'try to be a charmer' so that people will believe them and say that they shouldn't be punished, but they just get 'a bit hopeless instead' because eventually people will realize that they aren't going to stop doing it anyway, so there's no point in letting them go free.
'The world is very sexy' is probably about how sexual things are a main part of music nowadays, and as such, 'it's part of my collapse', the celebrity becomes one that people think is a sick or disgusting kind and they forget about them eventually.
The 'rock it, rock it' part at the end symbolizes how, despite the scandals and issues of the celebrity world, there are still fans who love their music and are willing to 'rock it' when listening to them sing and perform.
Oh my god this site.

Ok first of all i spent like a while readin all your comments on my phone :P This song is about Songs these days (well those days you know wat i mean) that the artsts put no effort into their songs (blah blah blah) the heads are zombie celebritys showing that the celebritys spend too much time on looks instead of the acual song. The statue is Pazuzu (watever i cant spell) and it has a boner NO JOKE it really dose. + one of the zombie celebritys has a hat that says i am shit

to me, it just sounds like someone going through the process of being celebrities. you're going for your dream, but you don't know where you're headed. you've drunkenin this lifestyle, with fake all around you. drugs and alcohol, you can't take it anymore. when you finally start to curve around, you fall further. eventually all your thoughts and experiences and drugs "lock you in your head" after you've tried to charm the world into your ways.
then again, I'm 14.
what exactly, do I know?
@miasaki666 I am 36 and I know nothing. I am miserable, untalented and broke and my social skills need a lot of work.

If not for the tagline "reject false icons", I'd say this song is about how nobody really cares what you have to say, someone's struggling with themselves/life yet no one cares enough to reach out to help them because all they hear out of them is "blah, blah, blah, blah" because everyone's too busy with their own life.

i think its a parody of all shallow pop songs. where he is like just saying cliche phrases and filling in the other pieces with blah blah blah

This song is practical joke like for instance the Beatles "I'm The Walrus", which was written because John Lennon got pissed off by people who'd interpret a deep and controversial meaning in every Beatles lyric existing. It pretends to have a deep meaning but infact hasnt any meaning so that people would try to work out its meaning but would always fail since the song has no meaning infact. Or for short, as John Lennon said when he wrote "I'm The Walrus": "Let the fuckers work out on this one" The song is also corresponded to the gorillaz "Reject False Icons" action, which doesnt have any religious meaning as Andrack said. Its a social thing about, for instance, not buying stuff from concerns that sort of enslave people in 3rd world countries or to not listen to any crap, Pre-made music like, for instance, Britney Spears.

It's a parody of pop artists songs that have no meaning to them and are shallow and pointless. That's why there are all those blue heads, those are celebrities, all that stuff they do is all random and pointless, just like them. And the competion winner is about all those stupid competitions they have which are also pointless. Reject False Icons: reject pop artists and pop culture. Fits in with the rest of the song. Read Return of the Ogre and you'll see!!!

yeah. I can agree with cassandra rose, and say also agreeing with whoever said it earlier, I think it's about the metaphorical lobotomy of having ones brain removed by "lobotomy pop" or mindless drek created to make money and turn all these people into mindless sycophants. and about "reject false Icons". it speaks to me. false Icons can be anything from political leaders to gods and deitys to the leaders of these mindless pop empires with their style-slaves. It means think for yourself, formulate your own opinion, don't go with the masses, fitting in is not worth compromsing your principles.

The statue appears at the beginning of Dawn of the Dead, which is why they used it, Dawn of the Dead being a big influence for the Gorillaz and its fits in with the zombie feel. All in all the song means don't become a mindless zombie who follow the masses. Only dead fish follow the stream.

He does seem to laugh or snicker whe he says he pulled himself together....maybe it's about him building up the nerve to talk to somebody?!?
play it a double tempo!
