Kill Rock 'n' Roll Lyrics

So I felt like the biggest asshole
(Felt like the biggest asshole)
When I killed your rock 'n roll
(Mow down the sexy people)

Every time I look in your eyes
Everyday I'm watching you die
All the thoughts I see in you
About how I

So I felt like the biggest asshole
(Felt like the biggest asshole)
When I killed your rock 'n roll
(Mow down the sexy people)

Every time I look in your eyes
Everyday I'm watching you die
All the thoughts I see in you
About how I

Eat all the grass
Eat all the grass that you want
Accidents happen in the dark
Eat all the grass that you want
Accidents happen in the dark
Eat all the grass that you want
Accidents happen in the dark
Eat all the grass that you want
Accidents happen

Every time I look in your eyes
Everyday I'm watching you die
All the thoughts I see in you
About how I

So I felt like the biggest asshole
When I killed rock 'n roll
And I felt like the biggest asshole
When I kill rock 'n roll

Daron stated in an Interview in the german magazine Metal Hammer, that this song is actually about a bunny that Daron ran over in his driveway and had a little bad conscience since... Rock n Roll stands for the rabbit. That's why Daron feels like an asshole when he killed "Rock n Roll". It's just one of the funnier songs of SOAD with that subtle humor and a lot of other things that can be interpreted into the song. But it rocks the hell! Whatever it may be about...

hahaha the song makes total sense now

I believe this song is about how one of the band members ran a car over a little boy's bunny. I think the bunny's name was Rock N Roll. Sooo I'm pretty sure that is the main element to this song.

The song is about how Daron ran over a rabbit when he was driving home. Not long after (a few days I believe), Daron saw a rabbit sitting in his yard staring at him. It looked exactly like the one he had ran over before and he named it Rock N Roll. He wrote the song because he felt guilty for what he did.

I love Daron's voice. He has a unique style of singing that compliments Serj's awesome vocals. To me, Serj and Daron both have awesome voices. A lot of the times I get caught up in the songs just from the power of their voices, the music with it helps drive it forward and creates an awesome song. I love System of a Down. They are unique in the way they sing, play, and the way they portray their messages. They are just awesome all around.

I love how you can get more than one message from one System song. They are very creative in their wording...and make it so that you can get whatever message you want out of it, which can really get to you more than a song with a 'straightforward' meaning.

And I do think that this song is just one of those comical songs System does sometimes, but it DOES have meaning. All the songs by S.O.A.D. have meanings. And I can see where it would be about how Daron ran over a bunny and had a guilty conscience. I would probably feel the same way...I already panick when some animal gets in the road 'cause I don't wanna kill 'em. Hahah, but yeah. This is an awesome song! Just like all System songs.

Apparently, this song has a complete different meaning that what most people think. Turns out, Daron Malakian, the lead guitarist and back vocals, had a pet rabbit named Rock and Roll. One night, Rock and Roll was killed by a car; hence the name of the song. Also, this makes MUCH more sense because, hey, who ACTUALLY knew what they mean't by "Eat all the grass that you want, accidents happen in the dark"? I don't remember where I heard this from, but, do some research. Prove me wrong.

Cheers,

Lloyd

The lyrics above may not be 100% accurate; as far as I'm concerned, this song has been performed live twice to this date, and it will be on SOAD's new cd. Check soadonefnet.com for a mp3 file.

i was there at big day out at the gold coast and they played this, they also played cigaro and a new song about how god can't save us anymore because we've fucked everything up with our bombs. great songs don't really see any deeper meaning except maybe they feel guilty by doing something unique, therefore killing rock'n'roll, soz i'm rambling.

I neer heard the song, but are they serious with the title? It scared me, as rock n roll is almost dead, we don't need to kill it!

@Chumplump Rock N' Roll is a rabbit.
