No Balance Palace Lyrics
Dog fights in the streetlights, or indifference
Death hangs patiently under the mirror ball
And no one seems to notice him at all
Unflagging wishes and jealousy
Mike says "It's okay, we all need a break"
A grand spree; we're on a roll here once again
Don't say where; we don't want to know
It's all right. No one's lost.
I wanna rock where you don't rock
'Cause I can't feel you anymore
It's all right. Nothing's lost.
So empathetic and so strange
You waited forever, and though you did quiver, came along

Of all the songs on Kashmir's latest album, I think "No Balance Palace" really ranks among the very best of them. Frankly, I'm shocked it hasn't received more attention. The level of creativity is astounding; the amazing guitar work, the mysterious lyrics...just look at the last stanza. Brilliant. This is one energetic rock song; I'm just not entirely sure why it hasn't garnered more attention.

You're right kirbsta - this is definitely one of the best songs on their latest release. This is one of the more progressive songs by Kashmir, and is almost psychedelic at times, and the heavy distortion, almost shoegazer effects on the guitars makes it so atmospheric...
As for the lyrics, I have absolutely no idea what they mean. Got this from their website:
"A song that in many ways sums up the themes of the whole album: Love, death and the decline of western civilization."
From that, make your own guesses. :)
