There Is a Light That Never Goes Out (The Smiths cover) Lyrics
Where there's music and there's people and they're young and alive
Driving in your car, I never never want to go home
Because I haven't got one
Oh, anymore
'Cause I wanna see people and I wanna see life
Driving in your car
Oh, please don't drop me home
Because it isn't my home, it's their home and I'm welcoming more
To die by your side, such a heavenly way to die
Ten ton truck, kills the both of us
To die by your side, well the pleasure, the privledge is mine
I don't care, I don't care
And in the darkened underpass, I find oh God my chance has come at last
And then a strange fear gripped me and I just couldn't last
Take me out tonight
Take me anywhere I don't care, I don't care
Driving in your car, I never never want to go home
Because I haven't got one
Oh, I haven't got one
And if a double decker bus, if it crashes into us
To die by your side, such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten ton truck, kills the both of us
To die by your side, well the pleasure, the privledge is mine
Oh, there is a light that never goes out, there is a light that never goes out
There is a light that never goes out, there is a light that never goes out
There is a light that never goes out, there is a light that never goes out
There is a light that never goes out, there is a light that never goes out
There is a light that never goes out, there is a light that never glows
There is a light that never goes out, there is a light that never goes out
There is a light that never goes out, there is a light that never goes out
There is a light

Man, Anberlin gained alot of respect from me for covering such a great smiths song

This song sounds weird. I guess I would have more respect/like it more if I had actually heard the original.

I like this song... one of the standouts from the new album.

I like this song.
I'm still unsure on just what he wants with that overpass. It sounds like he wants to get some, or get high, or something.
I had no idea it was a cover.

I think they did a damn good job with this cover...the Moz would be proud.

This is an awesome cover of the song. The Braid cover is great too though, along with 'This Charming Man'.

Such a great cover of the Smiths; I love this version.

The first time I heard this song, I swore it was the Alkaline Trio. Especially the voice on the part about double decker busses. The lyrics are sort of something that Alkaline Trio would do, with the getting hit by the bus, except it's too happy and full of love.

I did a weird choking scream when I heard this. Fantastic cover.

this song gives me chills...really!
