I know, you know
We don't see
We sow our truth, wait patiently
I walk the streets with a song in my head
(We ebb and we flow, so)
Got my toes on my pup at the foot of my bed
(My heart always seems to know)
Well take the glitz back, I want the soul instead
'Cause I found some kind of fairytale
I used to
Hover outside my truth
Always worry of what I'd lose
Take away my record deal
(Go on, I don't need it)
Spent the last two years getting to what's real
(And now I can see so clear)
I hope you feel just like I feel
I found some kind of fairytale
Ohh
Want a garden by the ocean tide
Because I lose my way searching for stage lights
Well, Stevie knows and I thank her so
'Cause it's your seeds I sow
And now I know
Nolita, flat on rent control
(That's the life I choose)
Can't drag me to the fashion show
(The poses that I see through)
And Ruby's in the afternoon
'Cause I found some kind of fairytale
Hey
Nolita Fairytale (ba-da-da-da-da-da, ba-da-da-da-da-da)
Nolita Fairytale (ba-da-da-da-da-da, ba-da-da-da-da-da)
Nolita Fairytale
Nolita Fairytale
Nolita Fairytale
We don't see
We sow our truth, wait patiently

this song is about her life she had and what went on in her life.
Nolita is a place in NY (north of little Italy) where she lived and the songs talks about her getting a dog getting a new house and her beging to write songs.
in the song she says take the glitz I want the soul instead she is saying you can take the fame I just want my life
she would worry about losing her record deal but as she gets more into her life she says go ahead I'll spend my life getting to whats important
at the end she searches for stage lights but relizes it's not important Stevie Nicks was her mentor so she is saying she'll follow in her steps she goes places ands see's all these fake ppl and going to movies in the afternoon and loving her life
becauese she found her own little fairytale in NOLITA
I really like this song... I think its about her leave from the music scene... My main question is what the heck is a "nolita"?
Nolita is one part of NYC. North of Little Italy
Well, this song is not about a "leave from music scene" it is about her label changing, and finding herself, and finding a mentor (Stevie Nicks)
i just have to say i find it funny that somebody has the name hellboi and listens to Vanessa Carlton i dont really know the song, but i just saw a link for the most recent comment
