Seven Nation Army (White Stripes cover) Lyrics
A seven nation army couldn't hold me back
They're gonna rip it off
Taking their time right behind my back
And I'm talking to myself at night
Because I can't forget
Back and forth through my mind
Behind a cigarette
And a message coming from my eyes says leave it alone
Every single one's got a story to tell
Everyone knows about it
From the Queen of England to the hounds of Hell
And if I catch you coming back my way
I'm going to serve it to you
And that ain't what you want to hear
But that's what I'll do
And a feeling coming from my bones says find a home
Far from this opera, forever more
I'm going to work the straw
Make the sweat drip out of every pore
And I'm bleeding and I'm bleeding and Im bleeding
Right before my Lord
All the words are going to bleed from me
And I will sing no more
And the stains coming from my blood tell me go back home

Tom Morello made this song so much better.

i'm listening to it right now and jack white definetly sings it better and tom definetly gets ratm all over the solo and it sounds awesome but since he didn't rage all over the rest of it it doesen't fit as well

Leave it to Audioslave to make this song worth listening to...

Here are my thoughts:
Its about the corporate music world, that are trying to control his talent. He is so distraut that emotions are straining him to wrestle with a stranglehold of thoughts to the point of blood pouring through his soul. He is holding out to be true to himself, and he refuses to let these corporate self appointed leaders tell him how to produce his music. He has the balls to work hard till he bleeds and wont be sold out to corporate phony's, "its a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll"
