You've got the money maker
You've got the money maker
You've got the money maker
This is your chance to make it
Out out out oh yeah
You'll get out out out oh yeah

You've got the money maker
They showed the money to you
You showed them what you can do
Showed them your money
Make you get out out out oh yeah
You'll get out out out oh yeah

You are the money maker

She is yours for the taking
You know you wanna make her
Show her your money maker
She says out out out oh yeah
She says out out out oh yeah
You get out out out oh yeah
You get out out out oh yeah

And it's in my hands
I will if you want me to

She says out out out oh yeah
She says out out out oh yeah
You get out out out oh yeah
You get out out out oh yeah

granted the video is in a smut shop but that doesnt mean the song is just about "simplistic porn." i read the album was about the darker side of LA as Jenny was quoted in an interview, "...songs about sex, drugs, infidelity, murder, and betrayal. They might seem pretty on the outside, but put them under the blacklight and you might see the things you dont necessarily want to see."

I think this song is in response to the record industry and their money grubbing antics and the porn industry is a metaphor kind of/ the songs theme. well, i'm probably wrong but those are just my thoughts on it.

First comment...righteous. A couple things. First, what a guitar lick! And if you've seen the video, it's pretty clear what the song's about. Sex, anyone? Also, I don't think Jenny has looked or sounded hotter in her life. When she's rolling her shoulders in the video, I can barely take it.

Great song. Can't wait for the album.

I think the intro to the video where they interview people about their different experiences in the industry may play a factor in what the songs about or inspiration behind it.

I think I may have messed up some of the words, I heard a bad webrip cause it was easier to play back and go to parts than the video so if I did sorry, and corrections would be welcome.

ahhh im so excited for the new album. jenny's so gorgeous and blake is so strange in the video. how i love them both.

the track is on itunes now, but the video isn't. i kinda want to hunt it down.

as far as the meaning, it definitely has sex in it. during the beginning, the girl, faye, says something about a porn shop. they look like they're in a store in the video .

I love the intro with all the pornstars...It proves that they're not stupid or something, just because they do porn. And it's weird, I now have this intense desire to befriend faye runaway...anyway.

Didn't love the song at first, but I keep listening to it and I've fallen in love...Great groove, will be a good party song. And yeah, the lyrics aren't deep, but Jenny's vocals go excellently with the song, and I think that's what matters in this sort of song. I know I love many songs with great music and vocals, with little-to-no words.

and the meaning is entirely about pornstars and like, LA..but you could interpret it as anyone who just does their job they hate for money...but we know it's about the porn industry.

i think the intro was meant to show that pornstars are sad characters, "i like don't want you guys to think i'm like a WHORe or like anynthing. i just love sex!",... sounds real unintelligent. i love the music. i guess the song as a whole will grow on me. if i came to love steve, i will come to love this.

I agree with the above post. The best part about rilo kiley was always their amazing lyrics, not jenny's voice. I really hope the rest of the album isn't like this, smells like a sell-out...
