Uh
I forgot to call you on your birthday
You swear you're the last thing on my mind, yeah
There is nothing I can do to fix it
All you ever asked me for was time, whoa

When the lights don't glow the same way that they used to
And I finally get a moment to myself
I will realize you were everything I'm missin'
And you'll tell me you're in love with someone else

So can you do me a favor?
If I pull it together, make it sooner than later
We won't be here forever, and I realized I waited too long
But please don't move on

You don't need no one else
You don't need no one else
You don't need no one else (you don't need no one, you don't need no one)
You don't need no one else
You don't need no one else

You just changed your hair and it looks perfect
Wish I was the first to let you know
Every chance I get to make it better
I just find a way to let it go, whoa

When the lights don't glow the same way that they used to
And I finally get a moment to myself
I will realize you were everything I'm missin'
And you'll tell me you're in love with someone else

So can you do me a favor?
If I pull it together, make it sooner than later
We won't be here forever and I realized I waited too long
But please don't move on

You don't need no one else
You don't need no one else
You don't need no one else (you don't need no one, you don't need no one)
You don't need no one else
You don't need no one else

The girl or the world?
You say someone gotta lose
I thought I could have it all
Do I really gotta choose?
What good is all the cash
If it doesn't buy time?
And what good is bein' famous
If I'm never on your mind?
Nights fallen, lights glowin'
And I'm just tryna pay the price owin'
And I don't wanna feel the comfort from my ice showin'
And I ain't tryna be without you at the right moments
Nigga, nice goin', is it worth it? That decision
'Cause hearts break and I ain't tryna be in that collision
So I'ma dust my shirt and fix my pants
'Cause I better look good, girl, if this my chance, I swear, uh

So can you do me a favor?
If I pull it together, make it sooner than later
We won't be here forever and I realize I waited too long
But please don't move on

You don't need no one else
You don't need no one else
You don't need no one else (you don't need no one, you don't need no one)
You don't need no one else
You don't need no one else

this song is about realization of loss time with the person you love. its hard for him because he is clearly trying to make his mark financially [ the girl or the world ]

but he has a hard time choosing, and realizes that none of it [ the hard work ] is worth it if you have no one to share it with [ whats good is being famous, if im never on your mind ]

love drake. love love love love him.

wow im like the first comment . but this song really makes me think of this guy . like as if it were about me cuz he jus put it on his myspace . & i was always there for him but he treated mee real badd . & the funny thing is . . . is i jus dyed my hair last night & the song says "you just changed oyur hair & it looks perfect" . & thats when he added the song . idk this song has a lot of meaning .

but i see some mistakes ::

"I will realize you were everything I wanted" is suppose to be "i will realize you were everything im missin"

    and ::

"And dust my pants" is suppose to be "and fix my pants" .

    :]

I absolutey love this song. I was so much in love with this guy and he was head over heels for me than without notice and everything was perfect he broke up with me and I started to date another guy and a few weeks later his friend comes up to me and says to listen to this song and I did. It was perfect because I just got my hair cut too! I got bangs and I cried to it. I dated the other guy for a little over a yer and he was physically and mentally abusive so I left him and am back with my other man that told me to listen to this song and I absolutely love it we were meant to be! " if you love something set it free, if it comes back it's yours to keep, if it doesn't than it was never yours at all" that's exactly what he did.

Wow!! I am officially in love with Drake!!

This song totally sums up the situation i'm in with a guy...

I feel soo much for him, but he claims he doesn't want commitment at the moment, because his last girlfriend cheated on him twice. And it breaks my heart soo much He said "One day i will want commitment, but girls are hard work" But i can't wait around forever...

I want him to listen to it, maybe he'll see then :/

its just a song of a guy being stupid... and not realizing what he has until its gone now she has a boyfriend and is trying to forget about him now hes complicating things.

"When the lights don't glow the same way that they used to, & I finally get a moment to myself will realize you were everything I wanted & you'll tell me you're in love with someone else"

the lights are not as bright and hes not blinded anymore he gets to sit down when the lights are off he waited too long and the girl has moved on he has hope that she still loves him.

its a wonderful song im sure everyone has had a situation like this that can relate... it just reminds me -_-

Alright everyone, here is a guy's perspective.....

    College.

Met a girl (Let's call her Macy) during the second week of 'math 1' class, we decided to study together. We would meet up each week and go through the course content. Week after week it was getting worse (for me anyways), Macy was becomming annoying as f*$^> (I guess we didn't 'click'). But I choose to maintain our agreement (and didn't want to hurt her feelings). Fast forward, now there was only 1 week left before exams Macy asked if her friend can join our study sessions, to which I agreed with.

Macy brought her friend (let's call her 'Kelly'), she was pretty cool and made the session actually enjoyable. We all left agreeing to meet up hours before the exam date to do some last minute cramming.

Exam date. We were all panicked and going through all the course material quickly (so there was little room for personal interaction), we did all the last minute example exams questions and proceeded to the exam (In the Gym 300+ people so we all sat separately according to last names).

After the exam I met up with Macy and we discussed how hard it was etc. etc. (you know, the usual post-exam banter)

Fast forward 3 weeks later, we find out our marks. I passed. Macy failed.

There are two parts to this course however, 'math 1' and 'math 2' for example. So I proceeded with 'math 2', while Macy retook 'math 1'. During the first week of that semester I texted Macy asking for Kelly's number. After getting the digits I texted Kelly and explained to her who I was, (since we only met twice before), and asked her if she passed math 1 and if she was taking math 2.

"Yea, I passed" she replied, I continued to ask if she wanted to study the course together, to which she agreed with.

THE REST IS REAL LONG, I'M GONNA NEED SOME REPLIES OR ENCOURAGEMENT TO FINISH THE STORY.

    i feel this.

ive been too evasive for too long to this girl, but i know shes perfect for me..

and i feel like i can actually trust this one but "every chance I get to make it better I just find a way to let it go.."

&& its not fair to her since shes such a sweetheart and she actually deserves it and i dont normally fall for that but i am and I kinda like it

    shit..

    i'm feelin you Felicia..

    good looks Drake lol

Warren wanted a Beach Boys thing for this one, and Carl Wilson and Billy Hinsche came in, with Carl arranging the vocal parts. The other harmony vocalists (credited as the "Gentlemen Boys") were Jackson Browne, J.D. Souther, Zevon's longtime backers Waddy Wachtel and Jorge Calderon, and Linda Rondstadt/Stone Poneys guitarist Kenny Edwards.

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
