I'm scared to death when I see them arrive
Infected eyes red, staring at me
The time has come for retribution
Now they're counting my actions

The cries and shouts are confusing me
Falling in disgrace, I don't want to go now
And I am facing them, it seems they recognize me
It's too late for regrets

They're growing darker while approaching me, creeping
Prowling vultures in the sky
Devoured by a ravening beast
Raised, fallen from the dead

Endure the pain they're giving me slow
Flashes of life blurred by suffering
Distant reminder of funeral piles
Thousands of people dying

I'm taking back all the pain distributed
Through ages unconscious
My brain scattered, feed habitants of this cage
Consuming my heart

I've killed so many, I don't want to count
I spent a life raping the world
both far and near before you now I come, please help
creator, faultless one

LockeXIII, you are close, but not quite right. Yama is the god of death in Vedic writings, and the messengers are his servants. This song is about a man dying and being sent to Naraka, the Hindu and Buddhist version of hell. In Naraka, a person is punished for a finite (all though long) amount of time until their sins are atoned for, or in the Bhuddist version, their soul gets purified.

Seems to be about a man who has died and went to hell, now that he's being tortured by demons he regrets his life of sin and is calling out to God for help (please help, creator, faultless one!)

Bad ass song, and the main riff really conveys a sense of despair and hopelessness that fits the lyrics well

Who said metal didn't teach you anything :P

I first thought that perhaps yama was relating to the Japanese term "mountain" (was the first Kanji character I learned), and because of their Japanese related name (Gojira) but that was before I heard the song. Thanks for the wrap Zanders.

Love the tunes and the message!
