Killing in the Name Of (Rage Against the Machine cover) Lyrics

Some of those that work forces
Are the same that burn crosses
Some of those that work forces
Are the same that burn crosses
Now they do
What they told ya
Now you do
What they told ya to
Now you do
What they told ya
Now you do...

'Cos those that die
Are justified
They're wearing the badge
They're the chosen Whites
Come on

ome of those that work forces
Are the same that burn crosses
Now they do
What they told ya
Now you do
What they told ya to
Now you do
What they told ya
Now you do...

'Cos those that die
Are justified
They're wearing the badge
They're the chosen Whites
They justified
Those that died
They're wearing the badge
'Cos they're the chosen Whites
Come on
Come on... I can't hear the guitar
(Ah-ooh)
I won't do what you tell me
(Ah-you...)
I won't do what you tell me!
(Fah-you...)
I won't do what you tell me
(Fuck you!)
I won't do what you tell me
(Fuck you!)
I won't do what you tell me!
(Fuck you!)
I won't do what you tell me!
(Fuck you!)
I won't do what you tell me!
(Fuck you!)
I won't do...

We're killin' in
The name of

So it's about racism and police who abuse their powers and how they can get away with it because they wear a badge so he refers to them as the chosen whites. I'd say it's also about the military. How we justify the killing in wars etc...Killing in the name of...my own opinion here in any RAM song always is talking about the government. It's not that RAM hates every...

I also have to add that RAM does speak of Jesus or God in many songs but they're not condeming Christ. They're making a point on how the government uses Jesus and our beliefs for their benefit. Those who are brutal or corrupt..who is it that they're killing in the name of? The government or the devil. To me they're the same thing.
