Where the Lines Overlap Lyrics
I need it now
Too much distance
To measure it out, out loud
Across a personal map
And making pictures
Where the lines overlap
Where the lines overlap
We're not at the end, but
Oh, we already won
No, no, no one is as lucky as us
Is as lucky as us
And tell me how
Well, you got so far
And never making a single sound
But I can learn
There's nothing to it
I've never been happier
I've never been happier
We're not at the end, but
Oh, we already won
Oh, no, no one is as lucky as us
Is as lucky as us
If I sang this loud enough
You would sing it back to me
I've got a feeling
If I sang this loud enough
You would sing it back to me
I've got a feeling
(I've got a feeling)
That you would sing it back to me
That you would sing it back to me
We're not at the end, but
Oh, we already won
Oh, no, no one is as lucky as us
Is as lucky as us
Is as lucky as us

I think this song is about life on the road. It seems like they're saying it's bitter sweet to be gone from home, but this is what they've always wanted. " No one is as lucky as us " is saying that they feel like they're on top of the world and they're having the time of their lives. " Tracing patterns across a personal map. And making pictures where the lines overlap. " This sounds like when they're on tour they're all over the world (map) touring. While they're out on tour they're out making memories to last them a life time (pictures). Great song, but the album in general is going to take some getting used to.

I LOVE this song from what I've heard of it on youtube. I like how she sings "is as lucky as us, is as lucky as I" Don't know why exactly, but thats my favrouite bit of the song. Thank you for posting these lyrics!
this song is for PARAMORE FANS..hayley said this in her twiiter..how the music bonds with paramore and the fans..

paramore IS mainstream now. they're universally loved.

I like this song SO much better then "Ignorance." I think the music, lyrics, and melody are a great representation of Paramore as a whole. I think in a way it's another fan song, like "Whoa" and "Born For This." Love it.

Here are the lyrics straight from Hayley's blog:
Give me attention I need it now Too much distance To measure it out Out loud Tracing patterns across a personal map And making pictures where the lines overlap
No one is as lucky as us We're not at the end but oh we already won No one is as lucky as us
Call me over Tell me how you got so far Never making a single sound I'm not used to it but I can learn Nothing to it I've never been happier
No one is as lucky as us We're not at the end but oh we already won No one is as lucky as us
Now I've got a feeling if I sang this loud enough you would sing it back to me
No one is as lucky as us We're not at the end but oh we already won No one is as lucky as us

I prefer this too ignorance. better melody. its really poppy, the mainsteam is gonna eat this up when the record comes out. :\
i personally enjoy both songs for completely different reasons. however i love the darkness of ignorance. this melody is great though

Luckily it's not being released as a single so it won't get major overplay and stuff.

Lol, thank god. no offence to anyone, but the mainstream stuff just does my head in.

even though hayley said that their new album wasn't going to be about love and relationships i feel as if this is about her relationship with chad. for instance the line "Tracing patterns across a personal map And making pictures where the lines overlap" probably is referring to having to put effort into getting together when they both have so much already on their schedules or "personal maps".
It isn't about love and relationships. The entire album was written directly before the bands break up. many songs are trying to convince them to stay together, but some are finally letting go. Looking up, ignorance, and this song are the best examples.

they played this at the paramore/no doubt concert i went to, it was amazing!

i really like these lyrics so excited for the album :)

Could it be about the fans? And their quick rise? Hmmm?
I like Ignornace better, but still good. SUPERGINGE, I agree, mainstream is gonna eat this up.
