We are the crowd
We're c-coming out
Got my flash on, it's true
Need that picture of you
It's so magical
We'd be so fantastical

Leather and jeans
Garage glamorous
Not sure what it means
But this photo of us
It don't have a price
Ready for those flashing lights
'Cause you know that baby I

I'm your biggest fan
I'll follow you until you love me
Papa-paparazzi
Baby, there's no other superstar
You know that I'll be
Your papa-paparazzi
Promise I'll be kind
But I won't stop until that boy is mine
Baby, you'll be famous
Chase you down until you love me
Papa-paparazzi

I'll be your girl backstage at your show
Velvet ropes and guitars
Yeah 'cause you're my rock star in between the sets
Eyeliner and cigarettes

Shadow is burnt
Yellow dance and we turn
My lashes are dry
Purple teardrops I cry, it don't have a price
Loving you is cherry pie
'Cause you know that baby I

I'm your biggest fan
I'll follow you until you love me
Papa-paparazzi
Baby, there's no other superstar
You know that I'll be
Your papa-paparazzi
Promise I'll be kind
But I won't stop until that boy is mine
Baby, you'll be famous
Chase you down until you love me
Papa-paparazzi

Real good
We dance in the studio
Snap snap to that shit on the radio
Don't stop for anyone
We're plastic but we still have fun!

I'm your biggest fan
I'll follow you until you love me
Papa-paparazzi
Baby, there's no other superstar
You know that I'll be
Your papa-paparazzi
Promise I'll be kind
But I won't stop until that boy is mine
Baby, you'll be famous
Chase you down until you love me
Papa-paparazzi

    My Interpretation

    According to GaGa:

"Well I'm so glad there are a few different interpretations, that was the idea. The song is about a few different things — it's about my struggles, do I want fame or do I want love? It's also about wooing the paparazzi to fall in love with me. It's about the media whoring, if you will, watching ersatzes make fools of themselves to their station. It's a love song for the cameras, but it's also a love song about fame or love — can you have both, or can you only have one?"

To summarize: it's about stalking and being somebody's biggest fan, wanting attention, and becoming famous.

I really love this song, by the way. Probably my favourite GaGa song, and fun to dance to. :D

It's weird 'cause it's kinda stalkery yet there's something about it that's kinda sweet :)

If you watch the music video you'll understand the story of this song. Basically, her boyfriend is using her fame to climb to the top of the social ladder. He destroys her career (see when she is pushed off the balcony, her body lies limp and crushed, because her career is dead) and gets away with it. She then has to rebuild her career (learning to walk again) slowly but surely, and stages a comeback. In the end, she poisons her boyfriend and kills him, getting revenge for ruining her. She becomes a pop icon once more.

The meaning of the song isn't hard to decipher but the music video adds more depth to the song.

In an interview she said she wrote this song about when Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and Nicole Richie's mugshots all came out and they all were posing in them and she realized that there's an art to the paparazzi.

Does the synth in this remind anyone else of "Take My Breath Away" by Berlin?

I think, like a lot of songs, the video and the song have similar, but separate meanings.

The video is the story of pop icon and her relationship with the Paparazzi, and the song is about an obsessed fan, and paparazzi, who is in love with a superstar.

Hello? You didn't offer an interpretation either. Seriously though, what crawled up your cunt and died? So she doesn't like the song, boo-fucking-hoo, go cry somewhere else. The most amusing thing is that you jump down natholla's throat, but don't even bother with britrocker, the person who posted an angry, flaming comment.

    My Interpretation

    I love this song :D

Well, watching the music video I think it may be talking about abuse, and how "she" will always love the "abuser" no matter what, even though he trys to kill her for fame. Like in the music video, it shows all these women killed by their spouses/boy friends. So I am guessing the message is about how ame kills people. And she needs more fame then ever to settle herself, and it's driving her insane, (the whole stalker sound part of it) and then people die over it (in the music video for instance)

Or, for a crazy interpretation, the whole song is sarcastic and she just wants to get back at him. (the music video again) For instance: "but I won't stop" sounds a bit darker the rest. And then the "Real good, we dance in the studio Snap, snap to that shit on the radio Don't stop for anyone We're plastic but we still have fun!" part is showing she doesn't care about him in fact at all just getting back at him, she is willing to live her life while trying to get at him.

I am not sure, just my interpretation :D Great song anyway you look at it!

Classic love story true to his western tx roots. One of my favorites as a story, but I think there are alot of songs that are amazing not even listed on this site. I guess I should figure out how to add them, because I have about 8 REK cd's.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
