I learned my lessons / I’ve conquered Death / I go on and I’m unashamed
I’ll paint your bones to match my eyes / They’re the darkest I have ever seen
Until I’m lucid, I can’t be told
I know my voices / They tell me to BELIEVE
Another fucking accident out of control / All the attitudes will never change
My Imitations are leading the way
I can’t accept that I still don’t find this strange
In light of my ability to feel denial
I walk away from everything with just a smile
The Agony of Coming Home has gone away
It’s Everywhere / It’s Everyone / It’s Every Day
ARE YOU READY FOR THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE
I beg your pardon / I’m out of the way / A new conspiracy has taken my place
So over and over, I smell the decay
Believe what you want to - The Cycle Stays The Same
In light of my ability to undermine
I walk away from apathy - I’m feeling fine
The Agony of Cynicism beckons me
It’s Everywhere / It’s Everyone / It’s Everything
ARE YOU READY FOR THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE
LET’S - PRETEND - WE’RE NOT AT THE END
PRETEND - THAT WE HAVE NOTHING LEFT
ARE YOU READY FOR THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE
LET’S - PRETEND - WE’RE NOT AT THE END
PRETEND - THAT WE HAVE NOTHING LEFT
I don't know about the meaning of this song.
I just wanna say that it would awesome if they played this live with the chorus and everything! Can you imagine how cool would it be?
No comments? Really? Well then, I sorta like this song. The beginning isn't much special nor are the instruments but the lyrics are kinda fun, and Taylor has a pretty neat voice during the verses.
No clue as far as meaning goes but for some reason I don't feel like we're looking at anything too profound.
i havent heard the song because i havent found a place to download it!! i cant wait 2 more days til the album comes out in the US!!
it seems again this song is a message to the girl hes writing about in the other songs, gehenna, snuff, i agree nothing too profound but to perhaps her and him. it seems to fit the situation the other lyrics paint a picture of, he walks away from her, with just a smile, it seems a back and forth message, 'i can let you go, or i can take you back' im sure it makes more sense to them.. but it definitely seems like a message to her, somewhat even taunting her.
this song is prety cool. i got the album at 1 am on the day it came out of a website for downloads and its just as good as the cd. this song is a good song its just that theres beter in the cd too.
I think this is my favourite off the album, but can anyone else hear a woman screaming with corey? I may be imagining things but the line "LET’S - PRETEND - WE’RE NOT AT THE END PRETEND - THAT WE HAVE NOTHING LEFT"
It sounds like a woman screaming the line is mixed with coreys voice..I don't know But it's what I am hearing
Hmmmm I don't think that's a shick, I'm pretty sure it's Clown or Chris doing backup there
It also might be turntables.
It also might be turntables.
I mean the last line, when he says "Lets pretend...." basically the end of the song
am i the only one who thinks this song sounds like stone sour?
bearerofgnomes... pardon me if you already knew this but... maybe thats because Corey Taylor's IN Stone Sour and he's brought back some of that influence with him to Slipknot. I've heard a little bit of stone sour in "Dead Memories", "Vendetta", the chorus of "Psychosocial", and "Snuff" Maybe that's just me, though.
