Rainy Zurich Lyrics
I'm moving in your hair
Is falling all around my face
Like a parachute
I'm breathing in, you're breathing out the same
We give and take
And let the water fall on the flame
It's not burning out
And I'll hold your body slowly turning
I'll keep you warm, dancing in a downpour
And breath it in and take it off and soak our skin
And the night is falling
There's a road that follows to her home
And the sky is heavy
In the home she's in a lonely room
With music playing
Can she hear my heart coming through
On the door between
And I'll hold your body slowly turning
I'll keep you warm, dancing in a downpour
And breath it in and take it off and soak our skin
Maybe I'll try to even if I don't
You are what I never knew I needed
What I never knew I needed
What I never knew I needed
We're almost there
And I'll hold your body slowly turning
I'll keep you warm, dancing in a downpour
And breath it in and take it off and soak our skin
Soak our skin
I am going to interpret this song the way it relates to me, just because I really feel a connection to this song.
I interpret this song as a boy in love with a girl that is closed off from everyone else. The first stanza is describing this intimate moment with this girl, describing his love by saying, "let the water fall on the flame, it's not burning out."
Although they had an intimate moment, magical in his eyes, the third stanza tells of the girl. "She's in a town that holds a lonely road." She holds no intimate relationships, she has a heavy heart. She has isolated herself from the world. She has closed off her heart from everyone else ( "can she hear my heart coming through on the door between")
The fifth stanza is just him saying he will continue to try and get through to her. Even if he fails in his attempts, he will not give up on her because she is "what I never knew I needed."
The chorus of the song is just him reassuring her. "I'll keep you warm, dancing in the downpour." He will protect her and love her through all the hard times. He is just telling her to free herself from this prison she created for herself, she will be safe in his arms.
This is my interpretation. I am currently going through a situation like this. I could be wrong because I see this song through my experience. But this is how I connected with the song.
Exactly what I thought when I heard it for the first time, but I'm also in this situation that makes me connected with the song in this way.

A good song. To me it means embracing love and life, dancing in the rain...the downpour.
This is such a sexy song, in my opinion. I believe the whole first part of this song is talking about and describing the intenseness and sensual aura before sex. This line ''And let the water fall on the flame, It’s not burning out'' ties in the chorus in such a beautiful way. He's comparing him and his love to a said ''flame'' and saying ''let water fall on it it, but its still not gonna burn out''..and the whole chorus goes along with that. The second verse in harder to piece with the rest of the song. My take is that they perhaps live in different places..don't see each other as often as they would like and so she's lonely in that town without him there. He loves her though and wants her to know it ''Can she hear my heart coming through, on the door between''...the ending ''Maybe Ill find you.... exedra exedra..'' he probably went to wherever she lives looking for her, he doesn't exactly know how to find her but he's trying. If he doesn't find her he's saying I realize you are what I needed but I didn't know until now.
Its sexy, romantic, and amazing. I love this song..there is no going wrong. Definitely in my top five. Id love it to hear what other people think about this song or what it might mean to then or in they're point of view. :)
