When I first heard this song, I just knew exactly what she was trying to say. It's that feeling of wanting to be with someone so much and loving them with all your heart, but you just know you can't be with them. Deep down, you know that you two aren't right, and all you do is hurt eachother, but it's completely heartbreaking trying to accept that. I think the video just says it all, she is this strong superhero who can save anyone and do anything. But then when she sees the guy, she just goes weak, and when she touches him, it only hurts him more. So she flies off, because she knows it is what's best for him, and for her. You just have to find a way to make it without that person, because that's the only choice you have.

This song is about the struggle one has during a break-up that you have no control over and feel like you are dieing or falling apart because there's nothing you can do to bring that person back and you know it's not right to go back with that person. It's the worse feeling in the world, in the song she describes the lowest points, the sleepless lights, the pain one feels as if you just lost someone close to you because that's what it feels like when you face the end of a relationship and you want to do so much to go back and you love this person so much but you know you cannot be with them. You feel like you are drowning in an endless sea of emotions and that no one can save you..

but in this song, it is uplifting. She has a feeling of self-worth, strength, and belief, that she can and will pull through. Every night, she will find away--to save herself.

The love she felt was too much for that other person. Maybe they cheated, lied, or didn't feel the same way. In the video, she tries to touch him but she is too much for him. Her love is too strong. She is worth so much more. Although she feels like a part of her died, she still hopes and believes in love.

I think the song is about just breaking up with someone and having trouble falling asleep because that person is all that you can think about and all the memories going through your head. "All this time you were telling me lies", finding out that he was doing something behide your back or simply just that he said I love you and promised forever. Then thinking that in time maybe something will work out but for "Tonight i'll make it without you" and questioning if she should hold on to what she is feeling. That is what I get out of it. Great song with dealing with a break up.

this is is amazing i have to admit am playing it non-stop at the moment but i can not work out if it is about a split up (all the time you were tell me lies) or about loss of a loved one (Looking in the sky I can see your face)

Based on the music video, I think it's about a break-up. However, the song can be interpreted as being hurt by say a friend or a family member as well as a lover. It can also be interpreted as two people having a fight and one dies before a reconciliation can take place.

I totally agree that this is a song about a lover that has died. In my opinion, when she says "You made my body feel heaven bound" indicates clearly that she is speaking of the immortal. She also references this fact when she states that she can see his face in the sky. Of course, this is how I interpreted it and it may not be the exact meaning, but it is a beautiful song no matter what it means.

The song is about moving on. The person sleeping with the broken heart is done with the fake relationship, the lies. From the lyrics i get the feeling that she was the weaker of the two in the relationship. That she was willing to put up with the lies because she loved him, to be around him... Finally she's had enough and chooses to be strong and break away.
