It's been a long time coming since I've seen your face
I've been everywhere and back trying to replace
Everything that I've had till my feet went numb
Praying like a fool that's been on the run
Heart still beating but it's not working
It's like a million dollar phone that you just can't ring
I reach out trying to love but I feel nothing
Yeah, my heart is numb

But with you, I feel again
Yeah with you, I can feel again, yeah

(Woo hoo) I'm feeling better since you know me
I was a lonely soul but that's the old me

It's been a long time coming since I've seen your face
I've been everywhere and back trying to replace
Everything that I broke till my feet went numb
Praying like a fool who just shot a gun
Heart still beating but it's not working
It's like a hundred thousand voices that just can't sing
I reached out trying to love but I feel nothing
Oh my heart is numb

But with you, I feel again
And with you, I can feel again

But with you (I'm feeling better since you know me)
I feel again (I was a lonely soul but that's the old me)
Yeah with you (I'm feeling better since you know me)
I can feel again (I was a lonely soul)

Woo hoo (Woo hoo)

(I'm feeling better since you know me)
(I was a lonely soul, but that's the old me)
(I'm feeling better since you know me)
(I was a lonely soul, but that's the old me)
(I'm feeling better since you know me)
(I was a lonely soul, but that's the old me)

I'm feeling better ever since you know me
I was a lonely soul but that's the old me
A little wiser now from what you showed me
Yeah, I feel again, feel again woo hoo

    My Interpretation

You know how they say you get cold feet before your wedding? Well that's what I think the lyrics mean in the beginning of this song. A guy was just about to get married, but he got second thoughts about it and just walked away (Everything I had till my feet went numb). He tried to find love again that was just as great as what he had before, but nothing came close (I've been everywhere and back trying to replace everything that I had...). Then he met this special girl, and now he can apparently "feel again", meaning he loves this girl just as much as, or even more than, who he walked out on.

    OR

He found the same girl that he walked out on and fell in love again (It's been a long time coming since I've seen your face). Because he uses the words "again" and "since", I feel that he has met this girl before.

This is just MY interpretation of this song, feel free to disagree :)

Personally, when he says "till my feet went numb" it's talking about searching for something that keeps evading him and becoming disillusioned and tired because of it. And then he meets someone that makes the world come alive again.

This song is beautiful. When you're a lonely soul you can only dream of finding someone that will make you feel something other than your own self doubt. I'm not yet in the point of my life where I've discovered that other person, but after hearing this song I couldn't help but want to start searching again.

I definitely think this song is about finding God after he had turned away from God (whichever one you believe in, which I belive we all belive and worship the same God with whatever name you want to make the label). Without God you are lost and numb and your heart beats yet you feel nothing and with God/spirituality you are born again and you are alive. The million dollar phone that wont ring is like his way of saying no matter how much money you have you will never feel alive and it could never replace the feeling that God gives you. With God you are never alone and thus why until he found God he was a lonely soul. God knows all of our thoughts and all of our hearts and that is why he says I feel better since you know me. Once you find God and accept your spirituality God fills you and guides you with wisdom and your purpose, thus this line: A little wiser now from what you showed me.

    My Interpretation

I believe this song is about a man who is ready to get married and is thinking about his fiance and thinking about his ex wife. I believe either his wife left him or she may have passed away. But he has found love again and she brings him back to life because after his wife left he went numb because he loved her so much, hence him talking about his heart being there, but it doesn't work. And his new wife has helped him feel better hence him saying, "I'm feeling better since you know me". Also he talked about being lonely which I think was also him talking about either a past wife or girlfriend that left him that he was broken up over.

    Song Meaning

This song was written for the Save the Children campaign (a campaign that was trying to save children in Africa from disease and simple illness) and is about how this experience changed his life.

He talks about his "heart is numb but with you I can feel again" which means how the children effected him causing him to feel emotion toward the children. It opened up his mid causing him to "feel again"

When he says "A little wiser now from what you showed me" he is talking about how being showed the kids effected him causing him to "feel again"

There is much more to it if you read the lyrics with this in mind it will all make since.

    My Interpretation

I think this song is about a person searching for something that they can't find. Then they find that one person and that person is just what they were searching for unbeknownst to them.

    Song Meaning

This is from my own experience. I think this song is about pain, death, and rebirth.

The singer gave his all to someone for a long period of time. Unconditional love that was not appreciated. He loved someone very much who did not feel the same way. The other person took, took, took and then threw it all away.

This one sided relationship can be very painful and it will leave a person totally empty and numb. The heart will be drained and it will be very hard to feel anything. You have no feeling left, you don't care about yourself, anything, or anyone. You are death walking around in a living body. You unable to empathize with anyone. You pretty much become a psychopath, but without the desire to hurt or manipulate people.

While you are this zombie walking around unable to feel anything, someone who cares about you very much comes into your life and makes you feel again. They are the only person capable of saying the right words, doing the right things, to find a way into your heart. They genuinely love you and care about your well being and growth. They want to heal you and make you alive again. The more you hang out with them, the more you like them, like yourself, and like people around you. They make you feel alive again.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
