Camouflage Lyrics

Justice comes into your life and then you'll know
You'll know
Justice comes, justice let it come
I get the justice coming for you and I
I get the joy joy when it comes my joy, I get the joy joy
When justice comes to everyone
Why does a willow weep when all I see's a tree grow
All in camouflage everyone that I know
We walk along like sequel in a cameo
You're got your joy joy
So find the people of your own
I'll take in anyone who's taking off their camouflage
Go on, check it
I'll take in anyone who's messing up the sabotage
To yourself don't destroy
I'll take in anyone who's taking off their camouflage
Check it
Gimmie the ball, gimmie it all, big orange ball
Roll up over fields
I shame the devil 'cause I throw it down so hard
I rock the big line, I rock the back yard
Be a dream in color even on a winter's night
Get your joy joy no matter who says it's right
Their cover's blown
Find the story of your own
I'll take in anyone who's taking off their camouflage
I'll take in anyone who's messing up the sabotage
To yourself don't destroy
I'll take in anyone who's taking off their camouflage
Ok, ok, ok
In the geometry of, prism of my of my eye will flow
I ask the questions and wonder why
Only to roll in a big orange ball that floats in a summer sky
(secret words never to be printed)
Take it up from the underground, proactive and soul
Play a vital role, that's what you are
Check it, check it, check it
I'll take in anyone who's taking off their camouflage
Go on, check it
I'll take in anyone who's messing up the sabotage
To yourself don't destroy
I'll take in anyone who's taking off their camouflage

What the heck does this mean?

It's about not being yourself, hiding behind masks and being insincere. Thats where all the reference to movies and playing a role comes in. "I'll take in anyone who's taking off their camouflage" is the authors embracement of those who want to be real. "I'll take in anyone whos messing up the sabotage" may be attributed to those who expose others or those who just dont go along with the "sabotage" of being fake. So the moral of the story is: keep it real, y'all (like j-lo).

I think this song is about hiding the true person you are, and not showing who you really are.

What are the secret words never to be printed? Anybody?

I think this is a really good song off of Blue but it seems like it would be sort of overlooked by a lot of the other good songs on Blue, but the begining to this song where its all quiet is so awesome, it almost puts you to sleep.

i hear 'i woke up only at midnight...i just don't know... i turn into soul, i do not go, even i don't go' at the secret words thing. if you go to 2:26 or so and set your equalizer to have everything muted except the 12k and 14k ranges, you can isolate it but it's still hard to tell. it's darn near impossible to understand what he's saying

At first, i didn't liked this song... but it just took me to listen to it two times to realize what great song I was missing. I think that is about how the people is so fake, they don't show themselves how they really are so they have to hide behind lies. I think the first part of the song, is telling that if you are good and patient the justice you're looking for will eventually come, and erase past wounds. "To yourself don't destroy" is like saying that the life of every person has a meaning and that people should make it last as long as possible. I also thought of these short phrase as a way of saying that if you are not yourself that eventually will damage you, because you will forget who you really are.

I think this is about being optimistic. "Be a dream in color even on a winter's night" "Why does a willow weep when all I see's a tree grow" Society sometimes casts life in a shadow: in a small scale, naming a willow "weeping," or winter nights having to be dark and cold, he tells people to "find a story of your own"

I heard the lyrics jiodek mentioned, that's pretty sweet. I think I agree with togatora moreso than everyone else on what the song is conveying. The ethereal sound and reverbs of the vocals are stunning and convey to me a more optimistic message. The lines mean different things to different people. The title of the song leads most to think that its about people hiding themselves behind their own personal walls of insecurity and what not, but I think its more universal than just that. From the lines: "I'll take in anyone who's taking off their camouflage, I'll take in anyone who's messing up the sabotage" It shows the respect he has for those who are breaking out of their shells, and helping to make a difference, and doing their own thing. It's showing our tendancy to focus on the negatives in life and waht we can and should do with our positive potential.
