I’m made of peanuts, not of shells
God spares a quality of himself
Uniquely designed but we can’t help ourselves
So – Why, I made the face that bugs you
I won’t design conversation around you
I made the face that bugs you
Spyglass scans the field
Hold my hand, feel a chill in here
Tired of looking through you
I’ve found myself can you find you
So – Why I’ve made the face that bugs you
I won’t design
Spyglass scanned the field
Hold my hand, still feel a chill in here
Tired of looking through you
I’ve found myself can you find you
So – Why, did I make the face
And I won’t design
I made the face
I won’t design
Oh my lord... no one has anything to say about one of their first singles??? I first heard this song on MTVX (which was STUPIDLY removed!!! damn you MTV JAMS!!!) And with the song I also saw the video. I loved it from the beginning. The video looks like it's about this "parent" of some sort trying to protect it's "child" from all the things of the world. At one point it's stolen and given back, and the "parent" puts the "child" inside it's body, through a door to it's heart. Inside the "child" stays calm and content by the light of their heart, like no matter what happens, the "parent's" heart is beating to keep them alive, and will take all the bullets for them. The song however says something totally different to me. I read somewhere that when he says "I'm made of peanuts not of shells" it means he's made of what's on the inside, not exactly what you see. Other than that I have no idea what the song is really about, just my perception baby.. heh
so listen to this song, and be kool... just kidding, farewell! FSQ
i love the guitar in this song it just is soooo amazing... the whole song is just mind blowing chevelle is awsome
this song has such emotion.. even though it is sorta silly
It's been 3 years since the first time I heard this song... it got me hooked on Chevelle and I immediately went out and bought Point #1... Just this song was all I needed... and it wasn't a dissapointment at all... this song is amazing live as well... and this is still one of my favorite songs period to this day... The whole album actually is one of those that doesn't get old over time...
Yeah I agree chevelle is good shit. Like a second string tool. Plus its nice to have a less known band in your cd collection that doesn't suck.
They are not a second string Tool.
how about "heavily Tool influenced" then?
the second string tool is Earshot
chevelle is an awesome band, their older stuff sounded like Tool, but their newer stuff has a new sound. and earshot sounds a lot like tool, but they suck so it doesnt matter.
