High life
Rollin'
Since I was born, they couldn't hold me down
Another misfit kid, another burned out town
I never played by the rules and I never really cared
My nasty reputation takes me everywhere
When I look and see it's not only me
So many others have stood where I stand
We are the young (hey), so raise your hands
They call us problem child, we spend our lives on trial
We walk an endless mile, we are the youth gone wild
We stand and we won't fall, we're one and one for all
The writing's on the wall, we are the youth gone wild
Boss screaming in my ear about who I'm supposed to be
Get a three-piece Wall Street smile, and son, you'll look just like me"
I said, "Hey man, there's something you ought to know
Well, I'll tell you Park Avenue leads to Skid Row"
Well, I look and see it's not only me
We're standin' tall, ain't never a doubt
We are the young (hey), so shout it out
They call us problem child, we spend our lives on trial
We walk an endless mile, we are the youth gone wild
We stand and we won't fall, we're one and one for all
The writing's on the wall, we are the youth gone wild
Well, let me hear you get wild
They call us problem child, we spend our lives on trial
We walk an endless mile, we are the youth gone wild
We stand and we won't fall, we're one and one for all
The writing's on the wall, we are the youth gone wild
Whoa, whoa
Whoa, we are the youth gone wild
Whoa, whoa
Whoa, we are the youth gone wild
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, we are the youth gone wild
Whoa, whoa
Whoa, we are the youth gone wild

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.
Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.
The Night We Met
Lord Huron

This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines:
"Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet"
So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other:
"I had all and then most of you"
Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart
"Some and now none of you"
Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship.
This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

This is one of my favorite songs. https://fnfgo.io
Sebastian Bach is a legend. And how the fuck can you say it's dated? Fuck that! Some of the best music is old-school. Skid Row, along with bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Guns n Roses, Motley Crue, Pantera and Metallica all emerged more than 2 decades ago. And who cares if it's old? That's what makes it so brilliant! These bands are like red wine, they get better with age. The bands of today aren't all bad, but not quite the same of those of yesteryear. This song is an anthem for all those (such as myself) who oppose authority
Yeah. Rock on man. I hate music today. I love all of them.
I'm surprised no one has commented on this song yet. This is a great song from a damn good band. Skid Row was not just a hair band that came out of the 80's. If fate didn't oppose, this band really could have turned out to be something great. Its too bad though. I'm just glad they left their musical artifacts behind for me to discover.
your stupid ohwhocares this song is fucking cool. the solo in this song kicks alot of the bullshit that 2006 has in the nuts.
Reminds me of Motley Crue, particularly Too Young to Fall In Love
I 100% agree with you!! I looked up this song specifically to see if anyone mentioned this. While I like this song and Sebastian Bach's voice better, it really is uncanny how much these two songs sound alike, makes you wonder, considering Youth Gone Wild came out like 6 years after Too Young to Fall in Love....
I totally agree with acetica. This song rocks because its so in your face and agressive. Very unlike the whiny ass bands of today (staind) I love Skid Row and continue to blast them at full volume while cruising in the car
well, both very good points. i guess i like this song because all my friend s say it describes me. there are many of us who say fuck it and don't take shit from anyone. and yes, todays music sucks ass. in a bad way at that
this is the first skid row song i ever heard & it was damn good. Woop woop
shut the fuck up ohwhocares this song will never die. It's 1 of skid rows best songs B4 they got rid of Sabation Bach and I stopped listening 2 Skid Row. I grew up with this song and it is the reason why i'm a YOUTH GONE WILD motherfucker. P.S. Music 2day doesn't totaly suck. Staind is still kick ass (yeah aaron lewis whines more than he should) Fuel's awesome, Cold is killer, Godsmack is kickass, and Disturbed Rocks. It's emo that has caused music 2day 2 suck alot
But his Name is Sebastian ;)
that's a cute name. :)
haha i agree with metalhead m/ about todays music. yeah this song kicks ass like none other
This song does remind me of Motley Crue, but Sebastian Bach's voice is perfect for this song, maybe not their heaviest, but still a great song.
